I also had the pleasure of meeting Prisonchaplin in that other forum and if those disagreeing with the LDS belief system on this forum are all like prisonchaplin then I anticipate some high quality individuals and fantastic discussions.

Ahhh, now.... ... I'm tongue-tied, here.

The bottom-line is that the non-LDS who take the time to establish a presence here are mostly respectful and thoughtful. There have been a few that "hit and run,"--but less than at the secular forum you met me at. :-)

BTW, if I ever run for office I'm hiring Sugarbay and Stormy to run my campaign.

Howdy folks.

I don't really know what you all say in these things since I've never been on any type of religious forum before, so I'm just gonna wing it.

I'm 27, single, male and a pseudo-life long LDS member. Pseudo in that I have been involved in the church for as long as I can remember, but have had ups and downs regarding faith issues. I was in the Marines for just under 6 years, and am currently attempting to go to school. I think that I hate school, but it seems like the thing to do.

I didn't hear about this place from anywhere, I just did a search on google and here I am. I'm what some folks would call a "board warrior" in that I get quite a kick out of causing arguments online. So I figured that I would find a place that might help me cure that bad habit by actually engaging in conversations without hostility instead of the normal contention that I'm used to. So, if I do slip up and say something that you think is offensive in anyway, please yell at me. I'll be more than happy to make amends in any way that I can. People tell me that I tend to have a bit of my old Marine personality every now and then, so if i sometimes come across as cold or blunt I'm sorry, but old habits die hard. =P

Anyways! I'm glad I found this place and look forward to getting to meet all of you.

I've been looking for some new freind to openly discuss the tumblings thought in the back on my head... I am a writer as a hobby. Look out for sometime weird and out of this world occasionally. Some of the things I think about are totally way off this place. It seems honesty is an option online. I prefer it when I refer to myself, so later in life it does not bite me in the butt. I was ex-communicated a little over a year ago. (I know that means I'm a bad guy, & I must have done something really wrong.) Well porn does that to a guy. Drives him crazy and makes him do stupid things. :( I had it all, Aaronic Preisthood, and the Melchizidic Priesthood as well. I feel like I rushed into everything, and I felt lost. It was almost a year when I got the Melchizidic Preisthood,I got it sooner for I was getting married in the temple not too soon afterwards. Anyways I was lost, and I had no idea what I was supposed to to, or anything. I screwed up majorly. I've been married for over 2 years, been seperated for a year of that. I fell in love with someone else, and now my wife is demanding I pay for the divorce/dissolution. I wanted to be excommunicated by the time I went before a (trial) group, at least that is what it felt like to me. I asked for a chance to have a clean slate. To start from the bottom, and know I am worthy of having the priesthood again. I am 34 years old, almost 35. I like to hang around in the rafters and speak my mind on what happening, and maybe learn a few things along the way!! :P =^.^=

Ok, well here goes my introduction to y'all. I am very happily married-14+ years. I have two great kids-son/daughter, 2 dogs, 1 fat cat and some fish. I have been a member all my life-born and raised in the church. I would love to make some new friends who have the same beliefs. I enjoy all the "traditional mormon wife things" e.g scrapbooking. crafting, reading a good book, walking the dogs, a good bloody hockey game-ok that one may not be a "traditional mormon wife thing". I guess I should also confess that my hubby and I love UFC and 4-wheeling. So I guess I come with some flaws. :D I work full time for a gentleman in our ward and love my job. My hubby is a recruiter in the military-full time. Life is good! I would love to meet some new friends to chat with online. Hope to hear from someone, anyone...

Hey all, I'm Hunter. I'm a Sophomore in High School...yeah.

My reason for joining...curiosity, a want to meet some new people, and lots of other things lol.

Welcome to the site WhispersOfTheMoon. We have a number interesting people here. I noticed that your religion is Presbyterian. To my knowledge you're the first. I very much look foreward to your perspective of things we discuss here.

L.H.

What is a Sophomore?

GUESS: grade 12?

I only think that because I THINK freshman is younger..... and I am grade 12.... so it was just easier..

Another difference between Americans and Canadians. The typical American high school is set up with Grade 9 to 12, hence in order Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior and Senior; but in Canada I'm pretty sure the majority of our high schools consist of 3 grades, 10 to 12 and no designation except sometimes in yearbooks, and when I was in HS, they were typically Frosh, Sophomore and Grads (or sometimes Seniors).

And Canadian high schools don't really have Proms, but I've been noticing on Much Music (or maybe it was MTVCanada) airing from Toronto, they do mention Prom occasionally, which IMO is wierd. You'd think they have some strange desire to be American or something - another difference between eastern and western Canada. :P

Here in Alberta, it is K-Grade 6 is Elementary, Grades 7 to 9 is Junior High and Grades 10 to 12 is High School. Those poor easterners, forgotten what it's all about to be Canadian. I can imagine what it'll be like in 50 years when Ontario becomes the 51st State. ;)
