IronLion Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Hi im Marc, I was interested to know if there was any Australian members here, I am in Brisbane and am interested in learning about the church. Quote
pam Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 I know where Australia is. Does that count? Welcome to the site. Quote
susieSA Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 (edited) Hi and welcome. There are quite a few Aussies on this site... Not many of them are very active on the site though... A few that come to mind that I love chatting to is Wokie & Lizards. You could also try to go into the chatroom if it is open when you are online. Hope this helps :) Edited July 10, 2009 by susieSA Quote
bytebear Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 My uncle went on a mission there some 30 years ago. Have you stopped by a local church on Sunday. It's a good way to meet a few Saints in your area. Quote
goofball Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 I spent two years in the Sydney area and did make it up as far north as Grafton. Felt like i could almost stretch my neck far enough and see Brisbane. Quote
Moksha Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Australian eh? I imagine some might hang out in the outback regions listed below the popular forums with a few of the international community, however the English writers are found all over the place. Anyway, welcome. Quote
AnthonyB Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 G'day IronLion, I'm Australian but since I'm not LDS, I'm probably not the person to tell you about the LDS church. But I do hope (and pray) that you come to have faith that Jesus is the CHRIST, the ETERNAL GOD (as the intro to the Book Of Mormon says). Quote
Lbybug Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 i dated an aussie, does THAT count? *sticks tongue out at pam* Quote
AnthonyB Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Just as a note of warning, anyone posting after 8pm is either not Australian or needs to take a good hard look at their priorities in life. The Ashes start at 8pm tonight. (For those not well versed in cricket lore it is the the name of the Test match series between Australia and England, the original Test cricket competition.) Quote
AnthonyB Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 (edited) Yeah no, you'se sheilas might be able to multi-tasks but for most of us blokes its strictly one thing at a time, ah! (Don't normally put "ah" at the the end of my sentences sounds a "wee bit" sort of Kiwi to me but since IronLion is a "canetoad" I'd though I'd make him feel at home,ah. My old man's from Townsville, ah.)) Edited July 8, 2009 by AnthonyB Quote
susieSA Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 I totally agree... Very few males will admit that they can multi-task... hehe.. I am yet to meet one who can.. lol Quote
