Other than Joseph Smith..all the prophets up to David O. McKay had beards.

You're right Pam, but I was told by Utahrulz that since beards are not acceptable now, they give the appearance of evil whereas 100 years ago since they were acceptable, they didn't?:confused: I stopped scratching my head over that one a while back.

hey I couldnt read the whole thread, but in case it hasn't been said, I think this is a good opportunity for you to bring some positive changes in his life.

If it has been said, than I endorce the idea.

EDIT: wow... 10 pages! The atmosphere sure has changed here.

Further, the standard at The Lord's University is the same, facial hair is not permitted.

Unless something has changed (and I don't know, maybe it has), I had a moustache my whole first year at BYU-I.

I saw facial hair at BYU-P when I attended--even on some guys.

In that vein I saw facial hair on my mission, on some of the missionaries. Of course it wasn't any of the Elders. :eek: There was one Elder who actually told the Mission President he wasn't going to shave until he made some of the Sisters. :twisted:
