Over43 Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Camels were also imported by the United States military in the 1800's to fight the Indian Wars in the Southwest. Most were turned loose, and lived in the wild for sometime. They never did develop into a sustainable herd, and eventually died out. Quote
