Relentless Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Well, I am a 28 year old member, I have been a member all my life, but went through a period of inactivity a few years back. Now I am back, and had the amazing luck to baptize my wife in July. I have 4 children (3 step, 1 natural) ages 15, 12, 8 and 4. The 15 year old is not a member yet, but he goes to early morning seminary (I make him, but he is a good sport about it) and has better church attendance than several of the members. The 12 year old got baptized last year, and worked with me to get my wife to join until she caved and did. (Interesting story there, but it is too long for right now) My 8 year old was baptized in October, and she told us from the time she was 4 she wanted to join. My 4 year old wants to be baptized as soon as possible. I work full time for the Colorado Army National Guard. I have 1 deployment under my belt, and another in the forseeable future, unless things change. Quote
pam Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Welcome to the site. I have discovered through your posts that you are quite the movie quoter as well. So you should have added that to your intro too. lol Quote
Hemidakota Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Don't we all go through those inactivity moments of life... Lately, it seems the Army, more and more as to those conflicts around the globe, been using the National Guard for those overseas agendas. Welcome to the forum. Quote
beefche Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Welcome. I like your name, Relentless. Quote
Maya Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Welcome Relentless! Good to hear about your family. Sounds like a great family. You can write your story also on your profile side in Testimonials or and blocks! Cant wait. So officially: Welcome to LDS.net. You will find here an ecclectic mix of LDS and some non-members. While the site is dedicated to the Gospel, and to promoting the Church to a world that often does not understand us, we also make room for conversations about current events, and about social and cultural practices within the Church. If your main desire is to learn about the Church, consider starting with the "Learn About Mormonism" forums. For more advanced teachings, that will often include a variety of perspectives, some non-LDS, consider the Gospel section of forums. While you are welcome to all main sections, be aware this site makes room for a variety of opinions and personalities. Some posters can be passionate about their views, and occasionally more so about them than about the souls of visitors. If you find something particularly offensive, feel free to make a report by clicking the appropriate tab. Quote
Relentless Posted December 16, 2009 Author Report Posted December 16, 2009 It's a nickname I've had for years. It started with football because I never gave up, even when my team was getting killed. Also, if I wasn't relentless, I never would have gotten my wife to marry me... Quote

Relentless Posted December 16, 2009 Author Report Posted December 16, 2009 Nah, Captin Moroni. Alma 48:17 17 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men. Seems pretty Relentless to me... Quote
