hordak Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Saw a sticker like this one the other day.http://thm-a04.yimg.com/image/add1180dfdc7b6aa"Drive it like you stole it"You mean drive it slow and cautiously as to not attract any unnecessary attention.?Reminds me of the old "I slept like a baby".You mean you woke up ever few hours and kept everyone else up.:) Quote
NeuroTypical Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 You need to watch more "America's Most Melodramatic High-Speed Police Chases"-type TV shows. The bumper sticker is targeted towards a different demographic than you, ya whitebread strait-laced mormon boy! :) Although on the topic of stupid bumperstickers, I saw one car that had one of those COEXIST stickers (where the word is spelled with symbols of all the world's different religions). That wasn't stupid. The stupid came because it was right next to a Darwin fish with 'FSM' in it. In other words, everybody needs to just get along and respect each other's beliefs and faiths, except for Christians, who it is ok to mock. LM Quote
Maxgreen1 Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 A local farmer family I know are pretty liberal, they put this on all their trucks. Democrats: All they do is make bumper stickers! Quote

I don't know if you can interpret the FSM as a down right "attack" of Christianity without knowing the person.Personally i'm a fan of the FSM as it's origins is meant to illustrate the absurdity of teaching Creation science in school. Something i whole heartily agree with.( of course i see how other may find it more mocking) Quote
NeuroTypical Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 I'm a big fan of FSM too. It's a useful window to hold my beliefs up against, to see if I need to make some changes. But besides you and me, I don't think there are any other FSM fans out there who think well of any part of Christianity. LM Quote
Wingnut Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 I live in the suburbs, but I'm less than an hour away from several Amish communities. When I saw this bumper sticker last year, I literally laughed out loud, and had to take a picture. Quote
Dravin Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 The bumpersticks that say, "Proud to be everything the Right Wing hates!"I'm fairly sure the Right Wing isn't fond of pedophiles or terrorists (among other things). I don't know if the converse sticker exists, but I'm sure the Left Wing isn't fond of them either.Ah, found examples:http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-53595591854417_2081_25317548 Quote
Wingnut Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Dravin -- take a drive through New England and you'll see similar idea-ed bumper stickers, but rather than political, they're sports-related: "I root for two teams: the Red Sox, and whoever beats the Yankees!" Quote

Guest Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 I never could understand why people bother to make bumper stickers that say, "God is Pro-Life". Because God is "Pro-Choice" as well! Quote
Guest Godless Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 This one made me cringe a bit. Then I went to the Metrospy website and couldn't stop laughing. Quote
annamaureen Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Recently I saw a lifted truck with a sticker that said "Lifted: Fat Chicks Can't Jump." The driver wasn't exactly svelte himself! Quote

Wingnut Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Those are the best. Like the H3 with some sort of bumper sticker about being "green"They must have been referring to the paint. Quote
Churchmouse Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Many years ago when bumper stickers were the rage I felt left out because I didn't even have one. We were at the state fair and there was a man there that would make a bumper sticker with anything you wanted on it. You told him what you wanted and he had it ready to pickup in an hour. All I knew was that I didn't want to be left out, So my personal bumper sticker said: BUMPER STICKER Quote
NeuroTypical Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 We have a bumper sticker that reads DANGER: UNSOCIALIZED HOMESCHOOLERS ON BOARDBut it's not dumb, it's brilliant, so I won't post it in this thread.LMOh wai Quote
Jenamarie Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 I saw one on a Subaru Outback once that said "Support your local Search & Rescue: Get Lost!!" Quote
nbblood Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 This one made me cringe a bit. Then I went to the Metrospy website and couldn't stop laughing.LOL....Oh, my!!! That is hilarious. Here's a couple of my favorites from the site:Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld all spend time plotting the new world order on the MetroSpy ranch compound.Really?? Wow, instant credibility!!Our mission is to build and deploy effective retail counter measures against Hollywood leftist wussies, Democrats, liberal college campus girly-men, and the anti-American media conglomerates. Our goals are achieved through the strategic placement of conservative messages on your body, on the street and in yer mamma's house. ...and yes, we have guns. Now why couldn't I come up with a mission statement this effective?!If you own French stocks, you better get rid of them, and fast! Many French companies have gambled their future with Saddam Hussein. Now that Saddam is out of power, French contracts with Iraqi will no longer be honored.Ummm....perhaps their content is somewhat dated??Oh well, I guess freedom of speech is a right whether intellect is present or not. Dravin Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Oh well, I guess freedom of speech is a right whether intellect is present or not.You are aware it's satire right? Or are you just complaining that it isn't witty satire, I suppose I can see that, it certainly isn't the best I've ever seen. Some of the best satire isn't easily recognized as such. Quote
FairChild Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 My favorite bumper sticker states "LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO DANCE WITH UGLY MEN" Quote
dazed-and-confused Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 i saw one today that i liked..... "gun control means hitting what you aim at" Quote

FairChild Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 I wish you guys would get together to create a very spiffy and funny bumper sticker for me to create and put on the bumper of my car. Quote
