:)There's been some confusion lately about the gender of Churchmouse. Churchmouse is a guy. Honest.:):):):

I realize in this day and age it's possible to be a female and also have a wife. It doesn't bother me when men raise their eyebrows when I explain the scar on my hand is from a cut washing dishes. It doesn't bother me that I can change a baby's diaper as well as any woman. It doesn't bother me that I tear up at "The Sound of Music", "Miracle on 34th Street" and some episodes of "Andy Griffith", I'm a guy. After four years in the Marine Corps I don't feel I have to prove anything. At 5'4" and 150 pounds there isn't much of me, but I'm a guy.:):):)

That reminds me of my father-in-law. He tells people, "I'm a retired officer in the Marine Corps, I've raised four boys, I ride a Harley, and if anyone has a problem with me crying, they can meet me in the parking lot."

I suspect you're talking about me and my boobs comment. That was my attempt to be witty . . . I've always known you're a man.

Hey, you begged someone to just say they were older, so I did, but I had to use a different measuring stick, and thus came up with the sag factor.

Obviously my joke bombed big time, and now my self-esteem is . . . sagging. :P

i admit to being one who thought churchmouse was a guy, not really paying attention i guess. i too have trouble with vort because of the avatar. there is someone else...i think moshka and pam that i get confused with. Elphie I know is a witch, not a warlock.

They let you in the marines if you're 5'4"? (Not meaning any disrespect.) Is there a height limit for armed services registration?

:)

Yes but it's shorter then that. It vary's by service but it's about 4'8''

I've noticed Vort hasn't been on the site since it went down. Or at least hasn't posted.

Elphaba? A girl who is so superior: Shouldn't a girl who's so good inside have a matching exterior - And since folks here to an absurd degree seem fixated on your vertigree - Would it be all right by you if I de-green-ify you?

Just because I didn't give disclosure that most of the people that link to my page (extended family) are left-wing liberals and progressives?

Or the links to my wife's blog and book pages which I cannot post links to here? (see my 1 infraction). Many members would not like what my wife writes. I'll call it "spicy romance".

The height requirement at that time for Marines was 5'7". I had to be interviewed by a Colonel In Cincinnati to get a waiver on height and age since I had just turned 17. That was in 1965. At that time the other branches had no height requirements.

A couple of weeks ago someone said they were surprised that I mentioned I had a wife, but I hope everyone realizes I meant this thread all in fun. :):)
