Admittedly, Dad here is not a character for whom one is inclined to feel much sympathy. But it will be fun to see what the PC police do with this, and what kind of precedents get built on the foundations they're establishing today.

The children were placed in foster care on the grounds that the father had “used inappropriate discipline,” one of the children “has exhibited explosive, aggressive, uncontrollable behavior requiring therapeutic, psychiatric intervention, and the father failed to obtain timely, necessary therapeutic, psychiatric intervention for the child despite numerous recommendations for treatment,” and the father “has provided a chaotic home environment including regular and consistent confrontational behavior with the children‘s school and in the community.” ...

...It is apparent that dependency jurisdiction was asserted on this ground because of Father’s argumentative and confrontational attitude, and his racist and sexist comments to social workers and others. Like the majority, I find his comments deplorable, but there is no evidence that Father’s bad temper or deplorable remarks created a risk of serious physical harm to these children. Nor do I see anything in the dependency law which says that parents and children can be separated because a parent has deplorable beliefs — and it is easy to see the great harm which would ensue if it did.

Then why did this man have children?

It sounds like it took place in England lol. Seems like someone got their feelings hurt by name-calling and took revenge :(

This is the part that really worries me

There is no statutory requirement a jurisdictional finding recite every aspect of parental unfitness that will eventually constitute the specifics of the reunification program.

Basically, they could keep your kids from you forever until you paint your bathroom a color the CPS people like, but they don't have to tell you what color!

Well, CPS would have to tell you; but what it seems to be saying is that CPS' "treatment program" doesn't necessarily have to be limited to resolving the problems the court identified.

Meh. If you remove the words racist and sexist, there's still plenty of good reason for the state to take these kids away from the parent.

And this is me saying this. Me, the guy who practices his arguments and keeps a copy of the relevant law next to our front door in case a nosy social worker shows up with the county sheriff and demands entrance.
