That's a tough one because they both have/had their unique styles.

But if I had to pick between them it would be John Wayne and contrary to Dravin it's because of his westerns.

Though I think Clint Eastwood's directorial talents are amazing.

I'm asking because I can't pick. I like both. I've seen John Wayne's westerns and movies. I have at least 19 of his movies (mostly from when he was younger) and a documentary and I've seen a lot of Eastwood's stuff. Dirty Harry! :D

John Wayne, hands down. Not just because of his movies either, he was such a nice man.

My oldest brother did some repair work on Wayne's yacht. He found this diamond necklace that was clogging up the loo, and took it to Wayne. Wayne told him to keep it, Told him that it doesn't belong to me or mine.

My brother was able to pay off his home with that necklace.

So why do you need to pick? Why not just enjoy both?

Well, my great uncle taught John Wayne how to ride a horse and also, stunt doubled for him. My great uncle also directed Clint Eastwood in the movie "Where Eagles Dare". But Honestly, I would have to say John Wayne. To much is written about him in my Great Uncles Book. Very very interesting to read about him, and the many movie stars my uncle directed and stunt doubled for. If you want to read about him read the book

This book had not been released to the public yet. We went to visit him and he given our family members one and signed it. Its one of the best books on him, john Wayne, client east wood, Charlton Heston, and a huge lot of other celebrities. BTW, visiting his house was a treat. I never saw a acadamy ward before, yet he was the only stuntman to ever win one as a life time achievement award.

I think they are both awesome. Clint Eastwood as Palerider was amazing. But so was John Wayne as Rooster Cogburn. Thankfully, I don't have to choose. I just enjoy them for their great ability and different methods of acting, etc.
