Temple movie question

I was in the temple today and was wondering when were the two current temple movies released? Who are the actors? What are they doing today? Just curious...I really don't like Satan in the movie with the brunette Eve. He is too dramatic.

That's Michael Ballam. I think that came out sometime around 1997. Google him, but last I knew he was doind a lot with an opera company in Logan, Utah.

I have googled LDS temple movie and get a lot about the 1969 version but nothing about the current ones which really doesn't surprise me. I was just curious about the actors like if Adam and Eve were married in real life or not. Just curious.

I'm 95% sure that I was told that they are married, but I don't have any source for that. I don't know their names either.

I'm pretty sure I've heard that the Adam and Eve couples are married too.

I always assumed that the current films are from 1990, but I wasn't endowed until 2008, so I can't say for certain.

Do we let outsider actors work roles in the temple movies or are they LDS actors?

They're technically temple officiators (or were, at the time of filming) and as such, would have to be TR-holding members.

Apparently, one of the minor actors came out pretty strongly against Prop 8 and left the Church over it. No one seems to know whether it was at his request or whether the Church instituted the action itself, but either way--that actor has been digitally removed and replaced with a new actor in the film.

Yeah, I heard that it was James or John. Not big parts so it would not be hard to take him out.

Ya know, it seemed for the longest time whenever I went to the Temple I got the "older" movie, and then this last time we finally got the "newer" one again, and I thought, at the very last scene, that one of the actors looked a bit different than I remembered, but I put that down to having just gotten used to seeing the actors from the other movie.

How sad.

The parents of one of the "Adam" actors (his wife played Eve) lived in our stake some years back. If was kind of cool going to their house and seeing wedding pictures of "Adam" and "Eve" on their wall. Pam, you may remember the Fife's. It was one of their sons.
