I thought that it might be fun to do a thread where we take turns giving just one idea of what you like about Summertime. :) Like this, I will start. Summertime is:

It used to be the beach but now I live in Northern Cal (hours away from the beach)

Peel and de-seed some cucumbers, Shred cucumbers in a food processor and place in a colander with lots of salt and let then 'dejuice" for several hours. Wring out the cucumber pulp and mix with majo, dried onions,and season all salt. Let stand in the fridge for an hour or so and place on a freah garden tomato. I like my tomatoes peeled for this.

It's SO HOT here in NC - 100 yesterday! But it's hot everywhere in the US right now, isn't it?

Boil, sweat, and stay trapped in the house until I can take it no more, and drive the 4-5 hours to somewhere cooler.
