Though I won't be returning to my house til Saturday as I am spending a few nights at my parents in order to attend a whole bunch of things, I plan on going full-force in locating a mysterious beeping noise in the bedroom.

I've checked all the usual culprits (smoke and carbon monoxide dectectors, phones, watches). I am having trouble pinpointing exactly where it's coming from as it's doing that electronic bounce-off-all-surfaces thing, but it definitely seems to be coming from the bedroom. It often sounds like it's above me, so I asked our upstairs neighbors. They can't hear anything, but also checked all items in the vicinity.

When I return, I plan on removing items from the room one by one.

Any other tips?

Good Luck. I've had a beep outside all summer and dummy me didn't connect it with groups of girls at camp across the road. I finally put it together.... is the car doors being left open. It bounces off things and I can even hear it in my backyard sometimes so it took me a bit to put it together. I can't get rid of the beep until it snows. LOL

Well theres a distinct difference between a watch beep, carbon dioxide and smoke detector beep, and an alarm clock beep?

yes, all of them are beeps, but if we all had our eyes closed, we could still all tell which is which?

what does the beep sound the most like?

Check items with batteries first, it's not unheard of for products to have an audible low battery chirp. The fire alarm is iconic for this, but it's not the only culprit.

I see no reason for caution. This is a mysterious BEEPING noise. One should only be afraid of the ticking noises, as you have shown.

Off topic... I once witnessed a Scout Troop reenact that entire thing.

I think the "Careful" was meant about watching the youtube video it talk to you. ROFLMSO

Now I really really need the laugh button.

BTW, that's called Tinnitus.

I have a mild case of this, although, there are times I feel that it isn't so mild! You can go crazy if you really focus in on that buzzing or humming sound..

And I have a pretty bad case. Now I am afraid of going to the temple which is a quite silent place and my tinnitus will ring over most of the noises there.

To the author of this thread I would suggest to stop looking for the source of that annoying noise, but rather place something in your bedroom that masks or distracts you from it. Like wind-up clock, small water fountain. If that helps with my ringing ears, it may help you as well.
