Vort Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 Watch Wed, Nov 28, 2012 | XFINITY TVI don't get it. Why would you lie about such a thing?A few minutes later, Kimmel talks about a woman on a reality TV show who has a chance to clear things up with two weeks in jail (apparently a real bargain), but doesn't want to go the, because of a Kesha concert. Uh, really? It blows my mind that such people not only exist but are common. Funny, but my heart aches for her baby boy. Quote
Backroads Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 It's immature, that's what it is. Quote
NeuroTypical Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 Didn't watch the clip, don't much like Kimmel. He's done the "Parents lying to their kids about cancelling christmas" bit two years in a row. I've never understood how people can laugh so easily at children manipulated into crying and then laughed at for reacting. And we wonder where bullies come from. Quote
Anddenex Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 Lying for fun. The connotation is bad. Teasing for fun... this can be a crack up. L_M, those videos are so funny to see the children's reactions. It is like the parents who say, "I ate your candy." The one child response was hilarious. Whenever I read threads about lying I now always have the image of "honest Abe" and the commercial where his wife asks, "Does this dress make my butt look big"? Honest Abe's response is hilarious. I guess we all have a different sense of humor, however, Vort if you are referring to the lie apparently regarding buying the powerball tickets, then yes, why would people lie about something like this?? Why would you lie about such a thing?I am going to venture a guess that most didn't lie, it was probably misconception. They probably bought some type of lottery ticket and the word "powerball" didn't register at all. That's just my guess though. Quote

Guest Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 It's immature, that's what it is.Are you talking about the Teen Mom one?I don't think this is immaturity. I think it is more the cushy jail system you got in America. No teenager in Indonesia would prefer to go to even 3 days in jail over front-row seats of a Kesha concert with backstage passes... Quote

I'm more inclined to think that the interviewer didn't mention Powerball at all... just lottery tickets. You don't really hear Powerball mentioned until the last interview. Fancy editing for laughs.
