Bini Posted August 28, 2013 Report Posted August 28, 2013 How many would smile back if smiled at? How many would hold the door open for the people following behind them? How many would get up and offer their seat to someone else? How many would return something valuable to its rightful owner? How many would help a stranger in dire need? How many would say thank you when aided? So, do you see the world through optimism or pessimism? Quote
pam Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 Variables come into play. if I were at church, I would say closer to 10. If I were at the mall..probably closer to 4 or 5. Quote

I think gender, age, and cultural upbringing would definitely play a big role in people's actions and reactions. Quote
FunkyTown Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 If I took 10 random people... I'd probably be arrested for kidnapping. Quote

mordorbund Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 Take a good look Pam. These are true friends. Who else would plan a real-life Criminal Minds caper just so you can live out your Shemar Moore fantasies? Quote
Churchmouse Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 I think demographics would play a role also. You would get a more positive response in a small town than a large city. Everyone that comes down our road waves, rather they live around here on not. We live 20 miles from the closest city or town. Quote

dahlia Posted September 1, 2013 Report Posted September 1, 2013 I live in Iowa. These people are so friendly and honest it's scary. So, based on personal experience, I'd say pretty much a 9 out of 10. I do notice the students don't always give up a seat on the bus when I think they should. Quote
