Follow your heart. There are some great ROTC programs in college as well. Quote

Hemidakota Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 After a brief stunt with the JROTC program, my son now wants to fly the latest Marine Harrier jump jet [F-35D]. :) Quote
cyoung Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Participated in ROTC in college which helped pay for my degree. 28+ years of service so far. Don't let anyone tell you there is no way to pay your way through college. Me, my wife and my son all paid (are paying) for school through GI Bill. No JROTC in my high school at the time. It seems much like marching band or drill team, can be percieved as cool or nerdy depending on the school / city. :tank: Quote
mlbrowninwa Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 I was in JROTC for all four years in high school. This was over 20 years ago, but I loved it. Learned alot from the experience and was great leadership training. My son is planning on taking JROTC starting next year when he moves to high school. Quote
