What is the purpose of this thread? Have the rules changed? Or do the mods just feel the need to tell the world that they are mods?

The rules were posted because a few members were banned for breaking the rules.

Here is a question: If a peson gets banned on here .....is there any proceedure for allowing them back on after a length of time has pasted and they agree to follow the rules?

PS: Just so you know.......I don't plan on doing anything to get banned....lol.

I have a question too, do all members who are banned, or rather are about to be banned receive a PM or email from the Moderators or site owner (Heather) explaining why they are about to be banned?

Are they also given a chance to fight their side of the story if they believe they were banned in error?

No all are not sent messages as to why they were or are banned.

There are rules. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse. If it is a minor thing then warnings are given and suggestions made.

If it is a pattern or behavior, multiple log in ids, etc. then with several moderators in agreement a decision is made. Sometimes with warning and some times without.

Each moderator has an email address that they can be sent a message for appeal. Reasons can be heard but this is an online forum and anyone can be anything here and we have to sometimes make hard decisions regarding if we are being played by posters or if someone is sincere.

I hate to sound so cynical, I am not in real world, but after 9 years of experience as a moderator that has been my experience.
