Annabelli Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 The first one is supported by a Travel Agency and it's games are geared toward that. Dating/Getaways. The second one offers prizes for tickets. The popup that accompanied it was a Nintendo offer and another one was "Internet In A Box" business scam. There is a recipe site offering free recipes which is supported by an Global Life Insurance. While they may be safe to play, you may get some bulk e-mail out of it. I am sure that they sell e-mails just as companies sell mailing list. I wouldn't recommend registering for the newsletter. I look forward to other responses as these really look like entertaining pass time games. Quote
Jason Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 I personally like to play strip poker. Berry, you want to play? B) Quote
bunnzy Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 I prefer to play board games. Apples to Apples and Balderdash are two of my favourites. I dont really play internet games, my mum is addicted to them, and i think its a time waster. Thats actually a bit hypocritical for me to say... i love playing Kingdom Hearts on the PS2 at the mo' and that is a 'waste of time' as well. Oh, well :) Quote
Alaskagain Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 The free daily jigsaw puzzle at shockwave.com is one of my favorites. I think you may have to allow an active-x control to be enabled, and i used my secondary email address to register, and did not get any spam. Quote

Alaskagain Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 You have mentioned that to me before and I lost the link. Is there anything that needs to be downloaded?I tried to go back and check - I honestly don't remember if I had to download a viewer or game application in order to play on shockwave. It seems likely. If I did, it has not caused any problems at all on either one of the computers. That sight also has some fun wordgames, boardgames with group players etc. Some are only accessible thru paid membership, but usually the ones at the top half of the webpages are free. RD.com (Reader's Digest) also has a game page with a crossword and other games. You have to register there, too, but it's free, and I don't know if that one has a download either. (sorry!) Quote

pushka Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 I have Hoyle Board Games and Hoyle Puzzle Games...they have a mix of all sorts of games, my favourites are Slide Tiles, Mahjong and Double Cross which is a sort of Scrabble game. I used to play online scrabble occasionally, but find it too competitive live, so I prefer to just play against the computer. I used to visit game sites to play the old arcade games too, occasionally, but I do believe some of them download spyware to your pc, so I don't go on them very often these days. Quote
