Brother Dorsey Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 Christmas morning is my most favorite time of the year....not the opening of presents, not the magical light in my childrens eyes, not the happiness it brings. No, that all comes later.....right now I'm talking about early Christmas morning. Being awake before everyone else, a quiet time to sit by the lights of the tree and to reflect what this day really has meant to the world. The gift of the Savior from our Father in Heaven...a perfect example of how we are to strive to live our lives so we may return to our Father. What tremendous love He has for all of us....not just LDS, but ALL of us. Here's to all the bright smiles you see today and the joy of family you will have. But, in all else remember, we are all family, brothers and sisters and children of the Most High God. From my family to yours.....May your Christmas be joyous in the Lord! Quote

checkerboy Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 Haha I got to sleep in too. In fact Peter didn't want to get out of bed. I literally had to drag him out. But once up they were all excited. I just sent them off with their mom an hour ago. Now time for that long winter's nap. Merry Christmas!!! Quote
pushka Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 My son couldn't wait to get up early this morning, cos he was getting an XBox360 Elite, so we agreed to get up at 6am to open our pressies, then Becki and I went back to bed whilst he played on his games for a few hours! :) Quote
Old Tex Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 My wife and daughter, and grand daughters worked yesterday preparing lots of food for today. All of our kids, grandkids, and great grand kids showed up for present opening time and the big meal and just sitting around joking and enjoying being members of the family. Now everyone is gone and I'm full and trying to work some of it off by typing on the computer. Quote

prisonchaplain Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 Beat at sleep, slowly lose the lead. As they say in Korea before exams: Sleep five hours, survive...sleep four hours...FAIL! Quote

prisonchaplain Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 I never heard of anything related to cats in the nearly seven years I was there. Never say never, but I never caught wind of it. Quote
pushka Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 I'm glad to hear that PC, this was a documentary showing how cats were cooked (still alive) and was back in the 80's...maybe things have changed now? (Hopefully!) Quote
prisonchaplain Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 no guarantees about the dogs--though that was more in the countryside than in the city--and never heard that they did so while the animal was alive. Quote
