Ways to study scripture with your spouse?

How have you guys successfully studied scriptures with others? Personally, I hate reading out loud. Are there any other approaches?

I tried with my wife, but couldn't ever get her to truly study with me. As a family, once we had kids, we have always had a nighttime ritual of scripture study as a family.

It was the one thing I wish we could have started early on in our marriage. We had Family Home Evening every Monday together, but that was the only time I could get her to study with me.

I have read scriptures with my wife daily for most of the days of our marriage. I know of no effective substitute.

We tried listening to an article last night. Siri’s voice wasn’t pleasant, but it beat reading out loud. I think that will be how we do it

The gospel library app allows you to play the scriptures. Might sound better, maybe.

My wife and I read through the Ensign  Liahona together as our companionship study.  I think because it's always 'new' it helps us be more engaged.  We discuss the ideas and principles presented in the article we read.
