Emmanuel Goldstein Posted March 14, 2024 Report Posted March 14, 2024 They successfully launched the Super Heavy vehicle to orbital speeds this morning. This is the largest object ever launched by humanity. History was made on SpaceX's 22 birthday, and it is pie day. Well done Elon. https://www.space.com/spacex-starship-third-test-flight-launch Vort, Still_Small_Voice, NeuroTypical and 1 other 3 1 Quote
NeuroTypical Posted March 14, 2024 Report Posted March 14, 2024 Amazing. Whenever I need to feel a little hope for the human race, I go look at what SpaceX's latest milestone. Vort, LDSGator and Emmanuel Goldstein 3 Quote
Still_Small_Voice Posted March 17, 2024 Report Posted March 17, 2024 I wonder if, or when, SpaceX will break the speed record for humans? The fastest astronauts have ever traveled is 24,816.1 miles per hour with the Apollo 10 space craft according to what I read. It was May 29th 1969 when that speed record was set. Going fast costs a lot of money. Quote
