lol if the Squirrel story hadn't won it for Trump, this one would have.

Fun thing: We're buddies with some farmers who are plugged into the Costco food waste deal.  They get pallets and pallets of stuff Costco can't sell any more.  Frozen fish that isn't frozen enough any more.  Hundreds of pounds of chicken breasts, all sorts of expensive cuts of steak, organic ground turkey.  No longer able to be sold to humans, but my wife hauls back enough to keep our growing puppy in imported Australian lamb shanks.  At least a pound of prime meat every day for doggo.   Dang dog eats better than we do.

I wish I had that arrangement.  I'd eat the food myself.  I've eaten worse.  My family may not want it. But I'd be living high.

I would quite happily accept a few pounds of butter even without that life-saving "contains milk" warning. ;) I mean, if the article hadn't informed us that butter is nothing more than churned milk, I might never have known! :P

PS: Based on the reported comments, it's not the world that's stupid - it's the FDA (and lawsuits based on this sort of thing). :D

Imma gonna say it:

The “reason” isn’t that there’s a danger to the public.  The “reason” is that someone in the Costco/Kirkland corporate hierarchy made the wrong political enemy.

That seems unlikely.  The CEO is a lifelong Democrat.   It may have been a squabble between lower-level interfaces, I suppose.

I prefer to think people are stupid rather than sinister.
