Perhaps so, but maybe its the very best I am capable of. At least I am using the precious time here on earth for what I consider a much better purpose.

My counsel would be to step back for a moment and view where you are really at. IMHO, you are at a crossroads that depending on how you choose, will determine your lifes course. If you and you boyfriend, choose to repent, seek you Bishops and honor his counsel, you will both once again return to the straight path that will lead you both to joy and happiness. In short, your eventual marriage will be built upon a strong foundation. If you choose the other path which is immediate gratification by running from repentance and the right things you should do, get married, then try to go thru the temple. Your marriage will be built on a sandy foundation, that will end up with much unhappiness and disappointments. Or Your boyfriend may choose one path, and you the other, but the end result will still be the same for each one of you. Think about it. May God bless you on your choices.

My view is I am still going to get up everyday, do the very best I can to obey the Lord and his teachings. Set the best example I can in church, with my friends, my mormon and non-mormon contacts, my business dealings and keep on gettin on. I will continue to listen to and trust the cousel of the church leaders and when instructed to do something, will do my best to comply. I believe our church leaders are inspired and will take whatever appropriate action God advises them to do. So if they want me to support a stand against Prop. 8 or HBO etc., then by cracky so be it until then I await their guidance which to date has been to not discuss certain parts of the Temple ordinances etc. and only discuss those parts that they themselves comment public on. Such as the case in the earlier ABC news documentary I earlier referred to.

After reading all of the responses, it still seems to me that there is a question concerning the children. What if the parents, married in the temple, have 12 children all sealed to them. Two of the children then have temple marriages and have their children sealed to them. All so far are extemely worthy and end up in the highest degree of the Celestial Kingdom Two more of the original children get married in the temple and have their children sealed to them but later fall away. Their children however are extremely worthy and inhereit the highest degree of the Celestial KIngdom. Two more of the original children get married only, but their children grow up and go thru the temple, they have their children sealed to them and all live worthy except the two original chidlren. Two more of the original children get married in the temple, and have no children. Two more of the original children remain unmarried and die. Two fall away from the church and become monks. So, in summary the parents and a portion of the children are extremly worthy and inherit the highest degree of glory, what happens then as far as the original entire family unit and the Celestial Kingdom?

So if I understand correctly, there are myths about the myths and misunderstandings about the myth corrections concerning the original myth. I am getting so confused, how then am I supposed to know what is myth and what is a myth about the truth of the original myth?

My heart aches for you. The good news is that God loves you and wants you to return to him. It would be my cousel that you take it one step at a time. Set your sights on a goal and work towards that goal. Measure your decisions on whether or not they will help you achieve your goal. If we can be of any help towards achieving your repentance and lifes goals then we stand ready.

I echo what others have counseled. This marriage would not be built on a strong foundation, and as such would have a huge chance of failure from the start.

So if one sells alcohol and cigarettes, then instead of perpetuating something bad, it must be good?
