People...the answer is Jesus. Its all about Jesus. It is hard to believe that it was not even an option. Jesus is the way. Jesus is the light of men. OK, I must admit I enjoy the debate and respect all of you and your opinions. My point is this. Who disciplines who from an Earthly point of view. Lets say the Earth has three people. Larry Moe and Curly. All are wretched. When Larry disciplines Moe, Moe disciplines Curly and Curly disciplines Larry. ...and so the circle. It never ends. Who do you discipline and who disciplines you. When we sin we often times are disciplined by the result of that sin. When we commit adultry we take a chance for numerous ugly consequences and more then likely we will be stung by one or more of them. This in a way is discipline but it is caused by our own doing. We learn a hard lesson. When religion gets into the forgivness business it becomes earthly, man made with all of its wretchedness. .....and the religion empowers wretched men and God deminishes. If a religion really wanted to discipline its flock it would have no time for anything else as all of its members would be disciplined all the time. But we know that can not happen. So what do we do. The religion elevates certain people to higher levels. These people run the show and are above such policy concerning discipline. ...and corruption seeps in. No, it is not up to man to discipline man (from the religious faction). ...and it is not up to man to interfere with the forgiveness process of God. Believe in the Cross. Now outside of religion, the law of the land does have the right to punish (jail and so on) If you kill, God can forgive, but you will be going to jail. But it is not the religious body that will carry it out. Jim

Doest this bother you for some reason? No, Brother Jim, I disagree. The Church is supposed to exercise discipline. No, God may discipline if he so chooses, but not man. You and I are not worthy to discipline anyone. You and I do not live a day without sin. But God will not discipline when the sin has already been forgiven, even for those sins that are in your future. Prisonchaplain do you not believe in the cross? When you are born again, your sins have been washed away. It is not your place to discipline for sins that God has forgiven. Either you believe in the cross or not. What is it going to be for you. Dont you see. It was done two thousand years ago. When Jesus died on the cross all of our sins died with him. All we need to do is believe with all our heart and soul. There is no need for discipline from man. Twothousand years ago Jesus died on that cross for my sins that I have not even done yet. You need to believe. I do not think you understand what it is I am trying to say. I am not bringing the sin of a child molester down to the level of a tax evader. I am bringing all sin up to the level of the worst possible sin. You must understand that all sin is sin and it is an abomination to God. A simple lie is equal to murder in the third or even child molestation. We can not think of sin from an earthly point of view as ou laws do, but rather from Gods. Yes, to us it seems natural to say the molester is much more sinfull then the tax evader, but that is a human point of view. Sin is or is not. God can never accept any sin and it is only by our lord, our God Jesus that we have a chance. "When we stumble and fall, we can expect forgiveness AND discipline." Discipline, from who. You, Bishops, Presidents...who. Who among us is without sin to discipline any of us. Let him throw the first rock. When we accepted Jesus into our hearts and were forgiven of our sins, all of our sins were forgiven at that moment. Past, present and future sins. God knows all of our sins before we are born. The work was done on the cross all you need to do is accept it. When you say discipline you empower man and deminish God. You and I are too wretched to discipline anyone and God forgives and loves. Read the Gospels from the Bible, Listen hard to what Jesus is saying. It is here where you will find the truth. Read Mathew, Mark Luke and John and if I were you, I would start with John. It is not the book of mormon, but it is however the truth. I hope this helps, Jim

"Im not perfect" When you accepted Jesus as your savior you were made perfect in Gods eye. We are all wretched but with the blood of the lamb we are cleaned. "Knowing that i only have 1 year to save those i love" You do not save anyone, Jesus saves, the glory is Gods. You must have faith in Jesus. When you accept Jesus as your savior your sins are removed from past present and future. God knows all your sins from birth to death. Have faith that when you do this you are saved. We are all wretched. Without the blood of the lamb we are lost. Not one of us can live without sin. Not even our prophet. ....and no amount of works can earn entry into heaven. We are saved by grace and grace alone. We do works because we want to, not because there is a reward in it. I hope this helps, Jim

With all your heart except Jesus as your savior, lord and God. Ask for forgivness of all your sins and repent. All the work was finished twothousand years ago. All you need do is except the gift and your are saved. The gift is for all who want it nomatter what sins your are guilty of. It is absolute and perfect and you can always count on it.
