Sure Potash (K2CO3) is relatively easy to produce. Process: 1. Collect Hardwood Ash: Gather ash from burned hardwoods. Avoid softwoods like pine, as they contain lower potassium levels. 2. Leach the Ash: Place the ash in a large container and add boiling water. Let it soak for 24 hours. 3. Filter the Solution: Pour the liquid through a fine cloth or filter to remove solid ash particles. The remaining liquid is “lye water” containing dissolved potassium carbonate. 4. Evaporate the Water: Boil the lye water until the liquid evaporates, leaving behind dry potash crystals. 5. Purify (Optional): You can refine the potash by dissolving it in a smaller amount of water, filtering again, and re-evaporate. Pure silica melts at 3092 F Adding potash can reduce the melting temperature to around 1832-2192°F, depending on the ratio used. Melting point of iron is 2,800 F

May I suggest having children? So much glossolalia going on there. Toddlers are my favorite. The insights are refreshing.

Its a pretty dang good app. I doubt any other religion has anything close to this level of performance. And its free! Its difficut for me to complain about free products. i did ask that they allow searching specifically for content from Jesus Christ. Curiously you can search for material specific to each of the modern day GAs but not Jesus Christ. But I’m not a programmer. Curiously I have found that AI is a dang good way to search for LDS content. AI is pretty freakin good. And still free!

It’s a slippery slope. Just look at my state. The lovely Patrick’s Point State Park is now named Sue-meg State Park. A light house in Trinidad CA had to be moved because it was placed on sacred ground. I can’t count how many casinos have been built on sacred ground… I own the land my house is built upon and you cannot convince me that I should give it back. Washington Commanders… Removing statues of confederate heroes. We have gone overboard. It’s OK to be proud of America. Warts and all. I’m not about to leave the LDS church because some mistakes were made in the past.

The Liahona was more than just a compass. From 1 Ne 16:27-29 we learn that it also had the capacity to display printed text. “it was written and changed from time to time, according to the faith and diligence which we gave unto it. And thus we see that by small means the Lord can bring about great things.” I have no idea if it was like a computer screen, magic 8 ball, or if the brass surface could be repeatedly inscribed. Curious workmanship indeed.

Welcome to the 21st century! My loves: Automatic pool controller. Motion controlled lights in the driveway and home. Leviton smart switches. So many options. Sonos sound systems for TVs, Kitchen ambience and patio speakers. Smart Wolf range and Traeger smoker with thermostats that tell you when the food is ready. Solar panels Smart apps to control everything. It takes some up front expense and programming but - boy howdy - does it pay off. My favorite Amazon story. 5 year old daughter lying down on the carpet in the back row of SUV. “Alexa tell me a story.” “Alexa what time is it?” “Dad Alexa is ignoring me!” Honey, you are talking to a car speaker. All speakers are not Alexa. These kids do not know how good they have it.

It’s still there in the chapter. Don’t we suppose that Jacob had previously repeatedly taught Enos the Gospel in detail. Jacob was a prophet and had seen the Lord face to face. Enos was a grown man at this point in his life. Enos 1:8 And he said unto me: Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen. And many years pass away before he shall manifest himself in the flesh; wherefore, go to, thy faith hath made thee whole. Despite all of Jacob’s teachings, examples, and prayers. Enos had to learn about Jesus on his own. There is no testimony by osmosis. Everyone must have their private wrestle with the Lord. The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods - Thomas Paine

Have him read Enos. Particularly Enos 1:7 And I said: Lord, how is it done? I think that it is one of the best questions ever asked. And about the woman and man quote. We had a friend of the family (Sister in the local ward), that was becoming woke and tried to explain to us that because Eve was created after Adam she was His crowning achievement of perfection. I gently reminded her that the woman wasn’t his final achievement. It was the family. I have benefited greatly from the insight and patient support of my wife. I have also been greatly honed by the interaction with my children.

Well, Elon made starlink to make money. And probably to allow his cars to communicate with each other, so that atonomous driving can become reality. He created the cybertruck on a whim. He is just using his resources wisely and aiding where he can. Our government should have been a much better steward with our tax dollars. If so, NASA could have had similar resources. Nuclear fusion reactors etc. Our government has been so mis-managed that It can barely support any catastrophe.
