    Tomboys

Well then I have proven that theory wrong. My ring finger is much longer than my index finger and I am FAR from being masculine.
  4. Could you show reference where she said this?
  5. Now that set to the music of Come Come Ye Saints made me cry. That was beautiful Heather.
  6. I loved the movie Napolean Dynamite.
  7. If it's my brother you are talking about...I've never understood his fascination with it.
  8. Several years ago when one of my boys was about 5 years old, we were traveling through Arizona. He was commenting on all the cactus that could be seen everywhere we looked. We then passed a little memorial that had been placed alongside the road. He asked about that. I explained that someone must have died right there and that was the families way of remembering. After several moments...he then said "That person must have been killed by a cactus." It took me several minutes to recover.

    Tomboys

There were two tomboys in our neighborhood. They wore sports jerseys non stop and their mother was always in jeans and a flannel shirt or t-shirt. The father was mostly wearing bluejean bibs with t-shirts and flannel jackets. Somewhere between Jr High and High School, the older girl decided to wear feminine apparel and makeup. We will describe her as being "gaudy." Her clothes and make-up were bright colors to include hair color. Her sister fell into the jeans and t-shirt family tradition. After high school graduation, the older girl started wearing jeans and t-shirts too. Neither got into piercings or tattoos. Neither one went to college or entered the workforce full time. They are all just "home bodies." Fortunately both parents work. Oh, and no boyfriend connections to report so marriage is really on the "back burner" for the tomboys. But, this can't be what happens to all Tomboys. I agree with Aaron. I don't think their circumstances have anything to do with them having been "tomboys." Elphaba Heaven forbid mothers who were jeans all the time.
  10. Then he might be grateful he has a job as a dishwashwer in the back.
  11. you mean after he pays tithing..... Okay okay...sheesh. Nope. Ribs for me at Lon's!!! What day and what time Aaron and we will all show up.
  12. You have 4 hands? That's amazing. My youngest who is the dishwasher this month, just got a job at Leatherby's in Provo . . . as the dishwasher. I told him he can't complain now, he has to lead by example as the family's only professional dishwasher. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like the first thing he needs to buy with his paycheck is....lotion. you mean after he pays tithing..... Okay okay...sheesh.

  14. Amazing story Heather. And we have those that complain about driving 50 miles on well paved roads.
  15. Mine told me to stop calling them kids and instead call them slaves. Mine have said the same thing. I just told them "Yep, I bought and paid for you several times over" my kids always asked for a dishwasher......I always told them....I have 4 of them...... You have 4 hands? That's amazing.

  17. I don't do all those things consistently. That's what teenagers are for.
  18. Probably prowling was used as a term for loitering. I looked up Utah laws and it is listed under the same category.
  19. Seems to me this thread will only rehash everything that was posted on another thread.
  20. Seminary here in Utah is considered "release time." They get no credit towards graduation even as an elective. It is taken during one of the class periods of school.
  21. When I first read the title to this thread...I thought it was going to be like a Letterman Top 10 list of reasons to be excommunicated.
  22. hey pammie....we agree.....I would rather watch paint dry than to watch this movie.....LOL!!!! Pam, Pale, I'm hurt, I'm deeply WOUNDED! A Christmas Story is one of the best movies of all time! We watch it 2-3 times each Christmas season, and we quote the lines all the rest of the year, particularly my daughters and me. I didn't know anyone that hated it... If you want to watch bad, and I mean BAD movies, you have to watch Mystery Science Theater 3000. It no longer plays on Sci-Fi or Comedy Central, but it was one of the best off beat humor shows ever done. The movies were almost painful to watch, they were so bad, but with these 3 guys injecting comments every 5 seconds it was hilarious. My kids and I do that now all the time, even when we watch a good movie. Check out the official website for the worst movies ever. EVER. One Canadian one comes to mind: The Final Sacrifice. So bad it would make you cry... haha Six. Well the subject is best bad movies. We still watch A Christmas Story every Christmas. It's a movie that is so bad it can be good. My favorite part is the kid in the snow suit. I am sorry....I don't watch it.....would rather watch paint dry You have to forgive Pale. Being from Missouri something like watching paint dry would be appropriate. He has to be "shown" things.

  24. Ditto that was my thoughts exactly. I would think some kind of demographics would be required for something like this. Not random takings on a forum board.
  25. Poor pity me. I've known Ben Raines and PaleRider for 9 years.
