  1. I had heard just the name of the Genesis Group. I never knew what it was or what they were all about. I am glad to see that such a group exists. Seeing the positions the leaders hold in and out of the church, would to me,show the world that we don't hold blacks to any lesser degree than any other member. I know that is an opinion that many of the world hold. I myself would love to learn more about their history. Those that were pioneers. I find it fascinating.
  2. I went to all your links. Sound like a very interesting group. The video sounds quite interesting as well. I might just have to order one. The credentials of each of the presidency is amazing. Thanks.
  3. Well let's see..according to Wikipedia...A mandalorian is a culture of warriors. They were once involved in the Great Sith War. They attacked and raided the the Empress Teta System. They are ranked among the best fighters in the galaxy thriving on battle. One good thing about the mandalorian community is the rare metal that is found only on their planet. Hmmm if I could get my hands on it I could sell it on Ebay. Sounds alot like Star Wars. Oh wait....they were featured on Star Wars in "Return of the Jedi." Seems rather contradictory that to join the Mandalorian community would be to promote peace and harmony...when the history of the name is about battle and destruction. In a fictional kind of way.
  4. Then, I encourage you to reconsider my query. Some argue that if even one human soul must suffer torment for all eternity, then God is cruel. I disagree...but it is easy to see why people struggle with this. IF you believe that the sons of perdition will indeed suffer physical torment for all eternity, how have you reconciled that with your understanding of a loving God? I would not find God cruel in this matter. As usual I have found some interesting reading from lds.org The Hell That Has No End The three degrees of glory provide eternal homes for the vast majority of God’s children who merited earth life. There is a fourth destination, however, for those “comparatively few” who cannot abide even a telestial glory. The Lord explains that the destiny of the sons of perdition is a kingdom without glory (see D&C 88:24), and “the end thereof, neither the place thereof, nor their torment, no man knows,” only those “ordained unto this condemnation” (see D&C 76:43–49). These are they who “cannot repent.” They “sin against the Holy Ghost” and “put Christ to open shame.” (See Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, comp. Bruce R. McConkie, 3 vols., Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1954–56, 1:47–49.) “All who partake of this, the greatest of sins, sell themselves as did Cain to Lucifer. They learn to hate the truth with an eternal hatred, and they learn to love wickedness. They reach a condition where they cannot repent. The spirit of murder fills their hearts and they would, if they had the power, crucify our Lord again, which they virtually do by fighting his work and seeking to destroy it and his prophets. … “Before a man can sink to this bitterness of soul, he must first know and understand the truth with a clearness of vision wherein there is no doubt. The Change of heart does not come all at once, but is due to transgression in some form, which continues to lurk in the soul without repentance, until the Holy Ghost withdraws, and then that man is left to spiritual darkness. Sin begets sin; the darkness grows until the love of truth turns to hatred, and the love of God is overcome by the wicked desire to destroy all that is just and true. In this way Christ is put to open shame, and blasphemy exalted. “How fortunate it is that in the mercy of God there will be comparatively few who will partake of this awful misery and eternal darkness
  5. Don't worry Snow, others don't understand how awful it was for you. They're just judging you unfairly. Just reject everything they type that contradicts your experience and keep feeding your obsession with your past. Who knows, maybe by rolling in the mud some more you might become clean? (tongue firmly in cheek, for anyone wondering) Instead of rolling in the mud...wouldn't rolling in fish blood be more appropriate?
  6. Hi Pam,I do think it would be different for me. The Jews that crucified Christ hadn't spent their lives learning about him and searching for him. I have. So if he did appear before me, I do think I would accept Him. Thanks for putting it together for me. :) Elphaba Help me to understand here. Is it that you don't believe Christ existed at all...or that he is our Savior and the Son of God?
  7. My understanding exactly.
  8. Yediyd there was nothing wrong with your quote.
  9. Elphaba you mentioned that if Jesus walked up to you..you would have your evidence. What Pale was trying to say is...that there were those who saw Christ and still crucified. Not that EVERYONE did. His point was that even with that tangible evidence doesn't mean you would accept. Not sure at that point what it would take for you.
  10. not sure that would make a difference....the last people Christ told them he was Jesus crucified him.....some of the people who seen the Plates of gold fell away......I fail to see where you would accept him.... Good point Pale
  11. I look forward to seeing it. Need to let me know when you have it done.
  12. Yesterday after getting out of the shower I heard the familiar foot steps coming down the hall. I gave my usual warning then I heard a mans voice. "It's Mike Folkerson from ERA Reality we will just be a minute." I quickly grabbed a towel and was shocked to see my hubby walking in with a smirk "Do you come with the house"
  13. I just went to this. The section with the scriptures. I clicked on BOM. It's awesome. Especially the narrative at the beginning that explains a bit what the chapter is about. Thanks.
  14. I was going to blame Bush.
  15. Umm.. I only hold hands with good friends.
  16. Were you gone? hahah j/k I am jealous over your trip. I would love the opportunity to visit England and Wales.
  17. Airplane and the Naked Gun Movies. Some of the play on words were hilarious. But the movies were stupid. hahaha
  18. It's a better thought than picturing your parents that way, isn't it? She still tells me of remembering seeing your mother walking around the house naked, or changing clothes with her bedroom door wide open for anyone to see. Your brother has probably seen more than he cares to remember. haha Touche. And I was just teasing you.
  19. I find it interesting that when associating with all of these women that the subject of bras even comes up. Is one of your questions to them..."Is your bra pinching today?" Give me a break. Funny, I was just going to say the same thing. Just how often does the issue of the fit of a woman's bra come up in your conversations with them, Fiannan? How does your wife feel about you discussing bras with other women? On the other hand, you totally missed one of the most important ways to early detection of breast cancer, and that is regular examination. Self-examination, and if married, getting the husband to also do a thorough examination on a regular (like weekly) basis is one of the best ways to catch an unusual lump before it becomes very large. So I am appealing to all married women to have their husbands regularly check their breasts. I, for one, am happy to help my wife in this health check whenever possible. :) TMI TMI TMI. Trying not to think this is my sister you are talking about.
  20. At least I'm not the ONLY one who says this.
  21. Was this for real? I was reading an article in USA Today that stated the internet had run out of ISP numbers.
  22. I think you forgot to tell us who this great person is........I read where you met Pammie......LOL!!!!!!!!! Awwww thanks Strawberry. That was sweet. It was awesome meeting you as well. Pale...SHUT UP!!!!!!!! NOPE........................why do I feel I will have two of you picking on me now.....LOL!!!! I don't know Pale. Why do you think that?
