Brigham Young Jr. said Elder Nuttall was also helping in this whole project. Nuttall wrote on a letter (dated June 1892) to the First Presidency: Of course we cannot judge intention however just like Orson Pratt was very opposed to the idea, other Apostles were also against it. It is not far-fetched to me and yes, it is just my personal view. What's ambiguous about Nuttall's diary?

I think I'm probably one of the few who think that Brigham Young taught and believed Adam is in fact Heavenly Father and he said in more than one occasion that he was aware of the fact that this was something very hard for the Saints to understand. Orson Pratt (along with other apostles) was vehemently opposed to this idea and argued against it. President Hinckley said in an interview with the New Yorker: In the "Lecture at the Veil" prepared by Brigham Young and written by his secretary for the opening of the St. George Temple, it was very clear to me that he indeed taught that Adam is Elohim (see "Lecture at the veil" Diary of L. John Nuttall) and the fact that President Joseph F. Smith had the Lecture at the Veil removed from the Temple gives you the idea of the kind of implications on this issue. For me, there is no doubt he believed it and taught it.

Maybe you're thinking this from a USA perspective? I lived in places in the world where I would not dare to go to a RS activity if there are no Priesthood holders present to ensure some sort of safety.

Thank you! :) I really don't know. However, let me clarify that the topic is of great interest to me. Just because I believe there is a possibility of an "error" (as President Kimball ALSO pointed out) doesn't mean I have bad feelings towards Pres.Young, I just do not agree with a lot of things he said with regards to blacks. The intention of sharing the story wasn't about answering whether or not the priesthood ban came from the Lord or not but merely share a powerful story of a faithful saint that was denied the blessings we all enjoy today. I think it matters purely on historical study. I agree that it shouldn't turn into a war between Smith and Young however, for those of us who like to study this topic it's very important to determine when it started and who was in the Presidency at the time. My research points clearly to Brigham Young, others may disagree. You tell me... Do you? I think this is one of those things that each individual person decides. For some, maybe an issue and for others it isn't. I didn't know I implied such a thing but hey, investigators pray about the Church sometimes and they said they received a confirmation that the Church is NOT true while others prayed and received a confirmation that the Church IS true. Hence, I believe in a balance between study and faith. I can only seek confirmation for myself and continue looking for the answer.

I think she is probably fantasying about "what could have been" and let's face it, when a spouse is thinking this way the marriage is NOT in good shape as they are making it to be maybe due to stress, marital issues, etc. Dangerous game to play specially if you are vulnerable.

I would like to interview the teacher. If one child is acting this way we can think of many factors but the way the article is written indicates that several kids were behaving this way. There is much more to this story than we are being told.
