  1. hehe, That's my problem sort of too. I tend to establish myself and then not play for so long due to time constraints that a new patch comes out and I just start over to play with new stuff. The most "complicated" things I've built were a redstone and sticky piston "hidden" door and a bridge made of pistons in shallow water that could be made to pop up and disappear. I'd love to play, I don't know how much I'll be able to get on though. Usually friday nights are the nights I play games because I stay up all night to setup my sleep schedule for my 3 12 hour night shifts over the weekend . edit: @blackmarch I love steam. I pick up games for 2 - 5 bucks when they go on sale. I don't even use oracle's java, I use openjre. Might have to switch to oracle's java since 1.8 update minecraft has been running slow.
  2. Have you played around with 1.8 yet, got me to fire it up, loving the new stone types.
  3. I didn't know the context of your post and I see I misunderstood it.
  4. I didn't realize rape prevention was a feminism thing, I thought it was just a regular folk thing. Silly me.
  5. I play single player survival but I just don't have the time to play it these days. Your city is reminding my of the original simcity haha, pretty nice server you have going there.
  6. Man am I boring, I either have Zucchini Julian cut and deep fried, or round cut and sautéed. That's pretty much it. Considering the healthy tone of this thread, I'm guessing deep fried and the amount of butter I sauté things in are off the table.
  7. I think feminism once stood for equal rights. Now, in my experience, it stands for rights for women superseding the rights of men. It's that progressive thing, the bar always gets moved. You may think my perception is wrong and that's fine, we can just agree that the other is wrong
  8. Dating: For fun Courtship: I think we could get married, and we are dating with that idea in mind. For the most part, courtship and all forms of that word are antiquated words not in general use. In my experience.
  9. Malarkey. You know. We know. Everybody knows that we aren't talking about the word evolution. We are talking about the Theory of Modern Evolutionary Synthesis. Any demonstrated change does not a proof make.
  10. I think the theory of relativity might be a more apt comparison. The sun being the center of our solar system is proven. It's a fact. Relativity just seems to be a dang good explanation for how mass warps space and time, and like evolution, there are alternate idea's out there, or at least modifications to the idea out there.
  11. I agree, too many people scream "It's a fact!!" and if you notice I was arguing earlier that it wasn't proven. I do however think the argument that evolution occurs "within kind" but doesn't lead to speciation doesn't hold. Where do you draw this arbitrary line when each step resembles the step before it? edit: I make a lot of mistakes when I'm distracted haha, oh boy.
  12. For some reason I am now picturing a man getting out a buffer and pressure washer to do dish's "like a man". I can't stop laughing.
  13. I sort of think that is being picky. Really all we are talking about is time. You can take something through a series of steps, each one having a resemblance to the step before it, and end up with something that doesn't in any way resemble the original step. @I forgot who mentioned hybrids I don't think hybrid's really demonstrate evolution. In my understanding an idea of evolution (more specifically modern synthesis) is that we trace back to one single ancestor, this ancestor didn't have other species to breed with. That can not have been a means of speciation when it requires sexual reproduction and multiple species. Hybrid's are very, very rare in the wild.
  14. I wash my twinkies off before I eat them. Does that count as clean eating?
  15. Are you geeking out right now MoE?
  16. Zelda skyward sword is certainly clean. It's fun and great for your age.
  17. I sort of assumed the happy marriage satistic would exclude those who are divorced. Iee 20 to 25 percent divorced and of those remaining married 80 percent are happy. No?
  18. For once I didn't look at them. Sometimes they can be very entertaining.
  19. I read some good news. Apparently our marriages are doing better than we thought. http://www.westernjournalism.com/flash-christians-actually-far-less-likely-divorce/#5iTsjjwdSRy0PXfK.01
  20. Console or Computer? Which console or which OS on computer.
  21. I remember a talk I read once by some online group, lds related. A lot of people complain about God, the tinkerer, he had another perspective that I appreciated. He related God to a programer, he said some people believed this programer was the best programer ever, he created every program in existence, and that was amazing. This person said he believed in something different, he believed this programer created a program that was so great, that it could change itself, adapt itself, and it eventually became all of the programs there were. He then said that he believed the second version was the greatest programmer there could be.
  22. So no. You simply assume because you can't come up with another explanation for speciation. That's a far cry from the it's been proven position.
  23. How has it been proven that we Homo Sapiens evolved from Homo Erectus? To my knowledge all that's proven is that we know these two species exist/existed and that we know about what time period our oldest finds of them are. How is it proven that Homo Erectus speciated and Homo Sapiens was the result.
  24. Can you point to a single proof that's as sure as the statement "fire is hot" that shows speciation occurs via the evolutionary process. (acknowledging species can evolve is not the same as acknowledging entire new species can be created by this process)
