I usually see them in the contrasting sleeves and lapels, way more embellishment than any dojo I've been a member of, etc.

Ah, yes; the art of tacky gi design. (Which, of course, must include "HAP-KI-DO" in 2" or larger letters and at least three languages. A requirement set by other arts so they don't accidentally get blamed for that.) Second only to BJJ in the amount of excess junk applied to the clothes.

I think the best way I've heard of putting it is, "no matter who you like to get jiggy with, if it's such a defining part of your personality that you feel the need to tell everyone about it in inappropriate situations, you're a pervert." More likely, leadership looked around at the overfilled seats during GC, and figured out that if a lot of members had to stretch ~3 months of their 4500+ calorie per day diet to last a year, they'd be a heck of a lot better off by the end of the disaster.

I concur.

I dunno...I seem to recall some folks in the Bible that didn't follow the law of the land. Daniel comes to mind, as well as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. There's definitely Scriptural precedent for even extreme cases of civil disobedience.

Alcohol is legal, but I doubt asking the bishop to hold your beer while you're in the font would go over well.

Wife said she never loved me...ouch

When Vort and Dillon are the only ones making any sense... Let's look over the other advice here: Got to wait for abuse: well, in my book, misleading someone for five years about something so important as whether you love them is just about as bad as emotional abuse can get. I'd honestly prefer to be beaten on a regular basis than find out the person I devoted five years of my life to had been lying about her feelings for me all along, much less spend the next five trying to fix it with no apparent improvement. Love her and see if that makes her love you back: yeah, that's the ticket. I'm sure he's spent the last decade being utterly indifferent about her, and just needs to fix that now, rather than doing what he was doing all that time and hoping there's a different result now. Seems I remember a saying about stuff like that. Meanwhile, she's given a lovely example of how "fake it until you make it" doesn't work. Ponder the meaning of love: oh. sure. I bet every time he's laid awake at night in the last five years, fighting back sobs so as not to wake her, and staring at the dark ceiling, he was mentally searching for previously unexploited strengths of the Old Steinitz Defense, not asking himself and God just what the heck love even means. Just wait for her to get over the PPD: how much longer? It's been half a frickin' decade. If she hasn't gotten past it or sought serious psychiatric help by now, the only thing that might work is involuntary commitment, and that's fairly difficult in most states until she actually and provably tries to kill someone. Square is my favorite color: well, ok, maybe not exactly that, but I do get the impression about a third of the people commenting here skipped at least half of the OP, making their advice roughly that relevant. -
Maybe this is a hint that John the Baptist had the right idea.

Isn't that how those normally work?

If it gets to 3 feet, will they start baptizing out in the gardens?

I'm just waiting for the cognitive dissonance when they're down to this one: Blacks who slaughtered thousands of Native Americans.

Weird Habit I Can’t Stop When Reading the Book of Mormon

It's ok; lots of people sing the entire text to the tune of The Yellow Rose of Texas. -
Not sure about Judas in Jerusalem, but IIRC, there is a statue of Peter at the moment of one of his three denials of Christ there, and Judas' betrayal statues in Italy and Spain.

Welding lens, shade 14, or stack a 5 and a 10. Try Tractor Supply, steel supply houses, etc. Lens-based projection viewer: http://richardsont.people.cofc.edu/safe_solar_folder/index.html Pinhole based projection viewer: http://time.com/4903137/solar-eclipse-viewer-how-make/

"They had the worst ketchup when I was in prison." "I want to teach the handicapped how to yodel."

"Get used to disappointment." "You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you." "You can die slowly, cut into a thousand pieces." <after choking the asker unconscious> "I do not envy you the headache you will have when you awake. But for now, rest well and dream of large women."

You know, bike touring can burn as much as 10,000 calories a day. Just think of the junk food you could justify with that. (Yes, that's for long climbing days, like riding up the Continental Divide, but 4-6,000/day isn't that hard to maintain.)

Really handy when you're trying to get a country DJ to play something you can ECS to. Some of them resist playing anything but ~170BPM two-steps, and it's a struggle to even get a waltz in there.

I note it says nothing of how he should be packaged for delivery. My personal preference is hog tying, with force applied as necessary to achieve that goal.

Looks like you have to buy a special dipstick from Chrysler to check the level at the fill plug. Miller offers one as PN 10323A, but it's $30+, so might as well go to your nearest dealer and make sure you get the right one. As for driving it, if it is losing ATF, it will eventually be a very big problem, especially on a car where that's so hard to check. If it's coolant, you need to watch the temp gauge constantly, and check the overflow tank before every start.

White can also be transmission fluid. My former brother in law had a habit of dripping ATF into the intake as a cleaning method, and it gave the same white billowing smoke as using Sea Foam or Berryman's B12 the same way. What make/model is it? Automatic or manual? (Manual transmissions using gear oil should give bluish smoke like engine oil, though I don't know how it would get into the fuel/air system to burn except by user error. Some small manuals - thinking specifically of the 1997 Saturn SL1 I had - do use Dexron III ATF for their cooling/lubrication, though again, if anything I'd expect to find it in the radiator since that's the only place it would easily leak to other than the obvious direct path out of the car to the ground. My old Chevy Blazer, OTOH, had the ATF cooler integrated with the radiator, and some sequence of events caused a failure there, allowed ATF and coolant to mix, resulted in an overpressure that finished off the 10-year-400k-mile old head gasket and blew huge clouds of smoke for about 300 yards before it died within sight of my driveway.)
