Well no I don't see it as a bad thing, the times change and to be successful they have to know when people are home and the like.
Can't get any referals from someone who isn't home, and you can't go to someone's house because you have a set hours, that no one is home.
It's great the missionary is there to teach, but if there's nobody to teach, and there's a clear wall right there, well it makes sense people are gonna start complaining about the wall.
The times are changing and to reach people on these levels they have to understand that.
Gotta have someone there to share the gospel with.

A lot of people underestimate its sheer size-I've seen many places of my beloved land, but still haven't seen much.
With Canada, you kind of have to pick a place and stay around it, because travel is long and boring (with such a low population things are far apart, when you drive here, its KMs of nothing)

but it can be taken as insulting to just tell someone to get over it and go to church (I'll use that as an example) when they have anxiety and social problems.
It is the wrong way to approach someone like that and comes off as uncaring, what works for you doesn't work for me.

And I find it almost insulting for people to tell me that I am not truly happy unless I embrase something they believe. If the church gives you all the joy in the world then be happy in your life.
But you can't possibly know what makes me happy-for instance I really feel uncomfortable in church a lot of the time due to my rather avoidance of large amounts of peoples.
I understand what makes me happy and my persuit of it will take me in a vastly different direction. Your happiness doesn't make me happy. But it makes many others happy so it is a good thing, at the end of the day.
 
And no believing in traditional marriage doesn't make you a bigot, saying "hey I believe in this" doesn't, its when you go to someone and say "I hate you because you're gay"
along those lines.

I don't think you're a bigot because you came to share your beliefs to me-you came to me as a gentleman and we're having a dialog. No bigotry here.

Yeah normally, on any other forum when someone interjects in a friendly conversation with more angry or something taken completely out of context, I would just either ignore them completely, tell them to get lost (abit with more swears) or be completely honest about how I don't care about them or their opinions.
But here I felt I ought to be a tad more civil, delving into my actual beliefs without any humour (in terms of belief, I inject my humour most everywhere else) was new territory for me and a unique undertaking.
While inside I can still be a crude, uncaring person, I try and rise above it for civil discussions.

If the anti ever comes back, I'll be sure to thank him lol

Yeah there are things I have noticed LDS people can be a tad hesitant to discuss, mostly because people either take it out of context or just hear one line and their imagination goes all wild.
I mean how can you tell-especially online, if someone is genuinely interested, or someone is just there to try and stir things up (like that Quaker on the Moon question thread).
