I love this comment. know that I am glad I am not burdened with having to judge others and can just try to be a conduit of Christ's love.

I try not to be as concerned about which kingdom I am going to. I try to Be concerned with what I am learning and becoming.

Tithing can be paid in other ways besides income. I have seen some people in low income places give a tenth of the food they grow. Also remember if someone doesn't ever here about a divine law such as tithing, in mortality they will not be held responsible for not living it.

The purpose of the Book of Mormon is stated in the above quote taken from the first page. "This is a book which needs to be read with a spirit of prayer and meditation." ( Elder Enrique R. Falabella). Read it then pray about the truthfulness and see what you receive for your answer. Horses, and steel, and elephants cannot explain away the fact the Book of Mormon presents the gospel in a way that plain, easy to understand, inspired, and most of all beautiful. Some things I have to exercise faith about, but I have never had a question about the truthfulness of this book. When investigating the church I found it best to not believe everything I read on the internet or heard from family and friends that were reading negative media about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I found it best to investigate the doctrine of the church and see if I found it to be the truth. Doctrine is not found in something a general authority said 100 years ago when he was speaking at a stake conference. Doctrine is found in the scriptures and the teachings of all the prophets and apostles. I hope this helps.

Right now for my wife and I usually have a very informal family home evening. When our daughter was with us it was much easier to have a formal FHE.

I am sorry you and your daughters are going through this. My only advice would be talk to your bishop and maybe see if husband would be willing to participate in marriage /family consoling.

The ideal of practicing "Love is sacrifice" in a romantic relationship would be to put the other persons needs ahead of your own. If both spouses do this this would to me be the ideal marriage.

Good luck with your Bishop tomorrow. Hopefully the bishop will still be your husband's friend. Your husband will need him as he goes through the repentance process.

My thought has personally always been that sacrifice is the ultimate manifestation of love (see John 3:16) We always here about Christ's atoning sacrifice as being the greatest manifestation of love, why? It is because it is the last and greatest sacrifice.

Sometimes when spouses cheat it has nothing to do with the other spouse. Especially if they are a Narcissist or have certain types of emotional trauma. I think it is best on a forum like this to not diagnose what is going on in someone's marriage without knowing all the facts.

My wife and I own a Kirby. The upfront cost is significant but, they will never have to buy another vacuum. It also cleans carpets and can buff tile floors. It is excellent on cat hair.

I happen to be a convert to the the church. Two pieces of advice that have been a great help to me are: 1. Remember that Joseph Smith was (and all other church figures for that matter) were and are human. many of the prophets through out history have had serious flaws. 2. Have faith, if you have doubts now understand that many of them will be lessened as you grow in the gospel.

I know in our regular ordinance worker training the only thing we were instructed about the new video was to follow the example of the new video and be slower and more reverent in administering the ordinances of the temple..

I don't organize things of this nature very well. I subscribe to the "Chaos is beautiful" school of thought.
