  1. I really liked it. I think I was looking at it more than just the tornadoes. I was looking at it for what happened between the boys and their father. There were also a few funny parts in it. You will see what I mean when you see the movie. I think it's a "go see" movie. Not a 10, but a good movie.
  2. Get on Up... I loved the music and dancing. The rest of it I was completely disappointed in. I won't say how I felt about him as a person after watching the movie. Hopefully, he wasn't like the movie portrayed. Guardians of the Galaxy... AWESOME! Loved this movie. I will see it again and probably again...and again.
  3. Great additions to the staff! Congrats to both.
  4. Lucy... Weird movie...but, I liked it. Hercules... Loved this one.
  5. I think that bearing our testimonies should edify those within ear shot... not bore them to tears. I love hearing a good story from some of our members...but, when I am listening to their testimony I want to hear something that I can draw from during the week when I am having a bad time or when I need to feel closer to the Lord. Or for those times that I may feel that I am lost and need Him (Jesus) closer to me. I remember those testimonies where the member is up there speaking a heartfelt testimony. I know that not all things being said will edify everyone... but, when I am listening to only a testimony about "the mall" and nothing in it pertains to Jesus Christ... I can get bored really quick. But... I found that almost every time I think a testimony is truly boring... by the end of it the person pulls it all together and it ends out being something that it an awesome testimony. Chances are if you listen to the whole thing...get the whole picture of what they are saying... you will be edified. I give credit to anyone that gets up to bear their testimony. I am not one to get up in front of people unless I have to. I swear, someone puts super glue on my seat every fast and testimony Sunday and I cannot move... so thank you to all of you that do move and get up there! :)
  6. A couple months ago my hair was down to my butt....but, I wanted to go short. Not real short...but, a little below my shoulders. My husband loves my long hair and didn't want me to cut it...so, about once a week I would cut about an inch off my hair. Each time I did, he would say... oh your hair looks so pretty. LOL So, as time has gone along I have cut about 10 inches off so far and he just keeps telling me how pretty it looks. Never mentioned cutting it. I stopped coloring it about a year ago so the old hair is actually starting to be cut off and the new hair taking over. Oh... I am 60 years old. I love my long hair, but the reason I wanted to go shorter is because we ride motorcycles and it's just so much easier to stick a helmet on my head with shorter hair. I want to keep it a little below my shoulders so I can still pull it up in a ponytail as needed. I think the ladies that color their hair bleach blonde at 60 or older look kinda foolish... like they are trying to look younger than they are. I saw a lady from the back that had really pretty bleached blonde hair...cute little shape... then she turned around and I almost fell on the floor to see she was really about 70 or older! It just didn't look right at all.
  7. We live about 14 miles from the Manti Temple. We call where we live "our paradise" because it is such a great town. Yes... it's a tiny place... no Walmart unless you drive about 35 miles and only a couple of gas stations and a small grocery store. But, the people are great and the air is fresh and the mountains are beautiful and the Temple is close. Plus the Manti Temple is one of the two that have live sessions. I love that. Hope you find what you are looking for.
  8. America... very interesting. We liked it.
  9. Earth to Echo... YUCK! That movie made my head spin. The cameras were all over the place. The acting was terrible... did not like this one at all. Thumbs down for me.
  10. BAD example! The eat less and exercise more does not work for everyone. There are many reasons to have your weight go up or down and eating isn't the only reason....and lack of exercise isn't the only reason either. This whole weight thing IS complicated! Just look at all the "diet" books out on the market. People making millions of dollars telling you how to lose the fat and/or even how to gain weight. Eat more of this or less of that and you will lose/gain weight. Yes... complicated indeed!
  11. Thanks for your replies and information. I want to respond more to this, but we are really busy today and leaving town tomorrow, so I don't have time right now for posting much. I do want to say that about a year ago a couple of my friends and I were concerned enough about our health that we all decided that we would open a diets for health living forum. The problem is... right after we started to build it, we all ended up with health issues....with one of the team ending up blind. So, the forum just sits there with not much in it and no idea when we can start building it again. But, I wanted to share a little bit of my story with you of what happened to me and how I ended up losing the weight I have lost. I am going to point you to my diet forum...it's NOT complete at all...but, my story is there. http://www.marvelousartworks.com/dietsforhealthyliving/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8#p8 I have done this since Feb 27, 2013 and I continue to lose weight. I do not follow this diet as it is written because I don't think it's good to eat to much meat... I eat more veggies. I finally found something that works for me and it's a way of life for me now. When others around me are not eating healthy or getting fatter while they eat, I am happily eating my way of eating and either maintaining my weight or losing slowly. It took me 1 year to lose 38 lbs, but I believe it's better for me to lose slowly and learn as I go, than to lose quickly and gain it back because I didn't learn a thing about how or why I eat improperly. Chat later. Take care... and happy healthy eating!
  12. This question was posed by Dr T in the "I Wonder" thread. *love that thread... :) Anyway, I feel very passionate about weight and what causes us to be heavy, skinny, or even okay weight. I struggled with my weight over the years with some times being skinny and sometimes being overweight. The best times were those that I could go into a store and buy anything off the rack I wanted. Please read Dr T's message and make some comments on it. I would love to know what others think about this subject. Thanks for your replies.
  13. I wonder if Pam knows I just came from the main page to see where to create it and will be creating one in a few minutes. (Thanks) I wonder if I will lose the last 22 pounds I am working on this year.
  14. I wonder where I would open a new thread for this topic? I would love to have a converstation about this.
  15. I wonder if Pam wants some so she can brag too. LOL I wonder if where nature verse nurture comes into play in all of this. (Great wondering!)
  16. I wonder how I stuffed that much lobster and steak into my tummy!
  17. Transformers..the Age of Extinction
  18. Do you have a picture? It sounds really pretty....would love to see one.
  19. I wonder why 3AM sounds so early. I wonder why DrT ask so many questions for me to answer. (I get up at 3AM to get his breakfast fixed and it takes me 1/2 hour to finally get him to wake up. It's about an hour.drives but part of it is down a dirt road for 10 miles of it so has to drive slowwwww. Bahahahahaha NOPE he doesn't run anywhere. He's a welder. They call him the man with the golden arm because he's such a great welder. Have you ever heard of Erin Brokovich? If not, look it up on internet... he works out in that area on a solar plant. We do NOT drink any water where we are because of the stuff Erin Brokovich's true story brought out). I wonder if this job will only last 3 months and we can go back home to Utah... I miss home! I wonder if anyone already knew all that info.
  20. I wonder why it is so hard to get my husband out of bed at 3AM to go to work? I wonder why I am a morning person and he is a night person?
  21. Doesn't work for me either. I was able to get in on my cell a couple weeks ago...but not today.
  22. This just showed me your character. What's the saying... Fooled me once, shame on you. Fooled me twice...shame on me.
  23. I wonder how many more miles we will put on our new car before husband goes back to work. We've had it for about 3 weeks and already have 4500 miles on it. I wonder when husband will go back to work.
