This country was founded upon Christianity. The First Amendment does not grant non-Christians amending power to destroy our Christian heritage. Tsk, tsk. You are trolling again. Is being a troll a value you derive from your faith?
-
I've got it now..... you are one of those Christians that think - because you are Christian - you are above, and better than everybody else. You must of missed the lessons on humility. Get over yourself. Yesterday..... drove the 2:30 hours to Phoenix to help seed and set up the State Junior High Tournament next week. Then drove home. During the drive I got on the phone and managed to track down my AWOL wife. She was at her dads house.... he is not long for the world. And then back to rehab. So we talked a long while and I gave her our boundries and had her conceed full custody if we do end up divorced. She sounded pretty good though. Almost sane. A long day. Today..... grade college distance education papers. Most of my students are incarcerated. But they like me as an instructor because I visit and give LOTS of feedback. Most of them are overt Christians. In prison.... dang.... what ever gets you thru. Prisons are whack. Homeschooling the kid as well. Saw that Penguins flick this morning... way cool. Later wrestling practice. Then take the kid to Tae Kwan do and be a wall parent there (sit on the wall and watch). Tommorrow..... Pest Control. Homeschool. Two wrestling practices (four hours worth). Wednesday..... Pest Control. Out of town for a wrestling dual meet. Homeschool stuff. Thursday like Tuesday. Friday Pest control and homeschool in the AM. Then into Phoenix to get the Junior High kids weighed in. I'll have seven there I think. Mine wrestles 68. She only weighs 58 and will be the youngest kid in the tournament. She may or may not not place, but she is plenty tough and will do fine even that young and giving up weight. Saturday.... coach several kids and help in that tournament. Drive home. Sunday..... another tournament in California for my kid (age group this time) where I'll coach her and help where needed. At some point this week I gotta sign the kid up for softball and will probably volunteer as a assistant coach (no time to be head coach). I get paid for the college stuff (but not the visits) and Pest Control. The rest is volunteer. Now I'll readily admit I lack humility.... but I am a godles heathen.... what would you expect. But this heathen does plenty of things for others. As you can tell it pretty much consumes my life. Are you personally attacking me? Just giving you my opinion. If you think it is an attack that is your problem.
-
Don't worry....I'm sure a lot of people here don't do that.... True, but there is not a big market for godless heathens on religious boards.
-
What's lady-likeness to a guy? Err..... no drugs would be nice. How important is it? Very.
-
I wouldn't be happy with it...In fact, I'm not sure I ever want to be married again anyway... Though technically still married..... I'm in agreement.
-
Pretty much everybody if I were in the CK.

George Washington was probably best described as Episcopalian. The founding fathers were a mix of Diests, Christians, with Jefferson best described as agnostic. As a group they had more tolerance of those with different views, and a greater knowledge of the mischief specific religious views could cause, than does our society today. Heck, Jefferson with his often agnostic and anti-religious writings would be unelectable in todays climate.

Just because you don't believe me[us] doesn't make what I'm [we're] saying untrue; nor does it discredit me[us] in this forum, since you are only expressing your opinion/disbelief, and not fact. Scott throws the troll a putrid piece of troll food....

Sgallan : "It saves them from learning about more ways to be mischievious." Just following the example of that Jesus guy. I mean you should be happy about that. You remind of a Ghandi quote..... I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.

It appears that the minority who are outspoken in their criticisms would substaniate their own positions by shooting the messenger. Your not bright enough, and way too much fun, to want to shoot. As far as trolls go you are pretty good though. And everybody should be good at something..... So, I have no idea where you get your antiquated information. LOL.... just type in the word Mormon, or go to any Christian based discussion group, and mention you are Mormon. Surely you are not that naive? And I don't give a crap because you are as Christian a religion as any other, but boy those conservative evangelical and Baptist types don't think much of ya. Tell you what..... go to Beliefnet and post on the general Christian board that you are Mormon. Boy is your sheltered naive self going to be in for a suprise. Unless you are purposefully being disingenious. Which would also be dishonest. Surely that isn't the case. George Washington to Tench Tilghman, (March 24, 1784): "I am a good deal in want of a House Joiner and Bricklayer, (who really understand their profession) and you would do me a favor by purchasing one of each, for me. I would not confine you to Palatines. If they are good workmen, they may be of Asia, Africa, or Europe. They may be Mahometans, Jews or Christian of an Sect, or they may be Atheists." John Adams From a letter to Charles Cushing (October 19, 1756): “Twenty times in the course of my late reading, have I been upon the point of breaking out, ‘this would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it.’” Treaty of Tripoli, Article 11: Written during the Administration of George Washington and signed into law by John Adams. “The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion.” Thomas Jefferson Letter to his nephew, Peter Carr, August 10, 1787 "Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, under which weak minds are servilely crouched. Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call on her tribunal for every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear." Letter to William Bradford, April 1, 1774: "Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise" You are not the only one with access to google you know. I can google up virtually anything to prove whatever point I want to.

The 85%+ Christian majority elected the best choice for a Christian American president. (His opponent was a so-called Christian who supported abortion/gay rights.) What, you think that bothers me. I voted for Bush the first time. Not the second, and I think that decision may be in the process of being validated. But I had no problem with his win even then. Oh, and I didn't realize Bush got 85% of the vote. PS..... if you are going to the "so-called" route, then it is no longer 85% is it. Scott - in troll feeding mode.

Our own abilities to work and learn through life's hardships is what makes our life full and green. Indeed. This is why I see no particular value, or use for religion. -
All for the eternal salvation of your people? You betchya. As a matter of fact the next time I cause a little mischief that is exactly what I'll say.
-
Madison understood, as did Washington, the danger of "non-Christian minorities" usurping power to undermine our Christian heritage by misusing and abusing the right to amend the Constitution. I just have to laugh. You are so clueless. You do realize don't you that most conservative Christians (the ones you seem to support) don't consider your religion as Christian, right? You'd be in the same boat as little ol' godless heathen me. Or are you just trolling? If you are, you are a pretty good one. Scott - who would be astonished if he actually got a honest (much less well thought out) answer.

I'm sure it's all connected to global warming... Which was caused by those Black Helocopters..... SUPREME COURT LEADING AMERICA DOWN ROAD TO ATHEISM Well if you are an 'example' of Christianity..... I think we are better off athiest. Cause you are pretty whack. But of course you are not. And I kind of like the weird ones. The truly crazy ones are by far the most fun. Besides, if we really are the 85% majority we keep hearing we are, then quite confidence should be the order of the day. However..... of that 85%, only about half, maybe a little more, attend church regularly. And a lot of those are (gasp) Democrats. So sorry to burst your bubble in this way.

So basically what your saying Aristotle is that my best source of information about hate crimes is guys like this. Following this line of rationale I suppose the best authority for racial information would be the Aryan Nation. My best source of information on human rights in North Korea would Kim Jong II. My best information on the LDS church would be the Mormonism Research Ministry. My best information on.... Are you for real? Or are you playing a game?

I agree Heather... if it came down to taking care of another woman... I could understand that.. but rules and regs would be set down in a hurry....NO TOUCHY. But I don't need any Bling presents to make me feel good about it.... just love, loyalty and honesty within a relationship....and I'll be happy to share my life with someone else.... NO TOUCHY! and things will be fine.... While I agree with your sentiments..... is it really a marraige for the second wife? Or did you just hire a maid/slave using the cover of Church authority? Given the legality of the institution, if your husband did have relations, as is his right, wouldn't you be in a bit of a religious paradox when it came to the dissolution of the marraige, especially given your Temple promises, mixed in with the re-instatement of the marraige program of polygamy?

Is satanism a conspiracy theory? Another case of shooting the messenger... Sometimes when the messenger is crazy as a loon it is a good idea to shoot them. Or at least hope they don't breed. PS..... I am still wondering if you have purchased any large amounts of fertilizer and an rental truck. You and you mate seem the type.

This is Christ's restored church, and he wants to hurt it. If it is a pain thing I can think of a couple more persecuted religions.
-
Yeah, then he'd have another two hours to devote to persecution-related activities! Those were the good ol' days. As I've aged it's become one hour and a nap.

Why would people who are absorbed in “self” even want any help from “others”??? Indeed. But I have learned when I need help I can get it first and foremost from family, and friends I have helped..... mostly in the wrestling community. Asking for that help is natural and usually it is offered before I even ask. Church's, religions, people I work with, community types, and so forth, really aren't the ones who have been any help. Just lip service. I think those folks get kind of overwhelmed. -
I'll still give up my wife to a polygamous relationship. I'll even add in a dowry. Please!

I have heard of many people who have put stickers on their cars supporting Bush, or urging votes on issues that were unfavorable to gay rights. I know these people and can think of no other reason people would spraypaint their cars, slash their tires or break their windows. Ya, and around here you tend to get the same thing in reverse. Just sorta depends on where once resides. Violence, judgmentalism and so forth begats violence and jusdmentalism. Sorta why we are at war, huh?

Somebody could take my wife if they want. Please. Pretty please.
