We live in an entitlement society, why should it be surprising they expect someone to pay for their own wedding, college, health care, et cetera et cetera ad nauseam

Yale undergrad Harvard MBA.. Stupid people don't get into those schools. Heck most very smart people that apply to those schools don't get in. Yet so many of these people that call him stupid would have a hard time getting admitted to their local community college. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of his. I think he's made a lot of mistakes, but who hasn't.

Apollo 13 never made it to the moon...It was the one that messed up (oxygen tank explosion) remember

I think you mean IP addresses, and its estimated we are going to run out of them by somewhere around 2010. Right now its all numbers from 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255 (though technically not all of them are usable IPs, some are for testing and feedback loops and other Internet backbone stuff). Right now IP addys are 32bit numbers, meaning there is a grand total of roughly 4.3 million adrreses usable. The solution to it has pretty much already being worked out now, is called IPv6. IPv6 address will be 128bits and will allow for 3.5 x 10^38 IP addys. Which will make the earthlings to IPs ratio something like 1:150,000, so that should support all foreseeable Internet needs for the future.

another point to ponder, perhaps it shows the intelligence of King Fahd. I mean would you want to hold Clinton's hand? I shudder to think what could have been using those fingers for..
-
C'mon now... As much as you post about Iraqi and Arabic culture, you should know that is quite common for two men to hold hands. If anything it may show that Bush is more aware of Arabic cultural norms then Clinton was.

Don't mind you asking at all, that's how you learn stuff :) The Ivory Coast, by Moroccan UN peacekeepers. http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?from=rss_Af...84050418C967861 http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/07/22/...N-Sex-Abuse.php http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/africa/07/21...iref=newssearch Note: Ivory Coast, and Cote d'Ivoire is the same place, just the French spelling, which the government there lists as its official pronunciation, in all languages. Different news agency switch around the names, but it's the same place. -

I'm sure the U.N has bigger things to worry about in africa...like trying to keep their "peace keepers" from molesting little girls. and there is that little thing in durfur (or however you spell it). -
by whom exactly? I can think of 8 countries in one continent (Africa) with seamingly worse human rights records. From what I've seen in other stories (and the linked story also), most of what is being sold is patriot missiles, and ADA weapons, and other defensive weapons.

Yes most of the 9/11 hijackers where Saudi's, 3 where from the UAE, 1 Lebanese, and one Egyptian (Mohammad Atta). But to blame to blame the Saudi Government for 9/11 makes as much sense as blaming our government for the Oklahoma city bombing....they where Americans after all. Overall though, I have no problems with selling weapons to these countries, they are our allies and we should be supporting them, considering how volatile that whole area is over there.

So what is the label for those that are in the Army, have been to Iraq twice, and thinks the whole thing has turned into one big mess? An opinion I didn't have 2-3 months ago either. I just don't think our leaders (Bush, Dems in congres, the whole lot of them) don't have the backbone to let us do our mission, and the Iraqi government is backhandedly opposing us at every turn. Otherwise we are just stuck there doing patrols waiting to become the next IED / EFP / Mortar / kiddie suicide bomber victim.

Speaking from my experience. In the Army, politics is roughly broken down like this 50% could care less, 45 % republicans, 5% democrats. Though among those that could care less, are still the kind of voters that will go into the booth and hit the "straight ticket republican" button, without even knowing who they where really voting for. You would be correct

fixed the link, i didn't get the last .pdf part, so it was giving a 404 error before.

Have you read the actual paper the chapter was based on, that chapter is a summary really. Levitt and Donahue's Paper **Warning** To those who have no idea what this paper is about, his conclusions may outrage some people here, don't say you where not warned
