Now where have I heard of something like this? đ https://www.latimes.com/science/sciencenow/la-sci-sn-stars-crystal-cores-20190111-story.html

It that guy had come into my home and acted that way then it would have been him turning the other cheek. That is just despicable. I would never work with that company again. I would also not allow him in my house again.

Very interesting video. Yes the edits are a little choppy, but give him a chance to flesh out the theory. Also, read this book, Hindu America by Chaman Lal published in 1940. It is available on https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.36440/page/n3

What if they made our ministering companion our spouses? -
It is used in Job 38 as well. My understanding is that it is like saying Dawn. 11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed? 12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; 13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

After seeing this I would not be surprised if it has gone back to the drawing board. I don't think there were that many European people in the middle east in 600 BC. I also think the acting looks really bad. But, that is just my opinion.

In this weeks lesson from Come Follow Me I was struck by the beauty of this verse: 1 Luke 76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, 78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, 79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

My Prediction of the End of the United States

Very well said. Even in the 80's I could go to High School with a rifle in the back window of my truck. Times have certainly changed for the more negative. -

Sleep Paralysis or Evil Spirits?
Emmanuel Goldstein replied to clbent04's topic in General Discussion
I have felt this before, but I find if I am not afraid and immediately act that the spirit is driven out and a sense of peace fills the void. Stand up to these thugs and don't fear them. Fear is their only power and when we act with confidence they are driven away. Men and women of God will always be supported by the Spirit of God when we need it. -
Our understanding of the story of what happened in the garden is incomplete. Could this be because their kids did not fully understand what they were told? Could it be because they were under covenant to keep it sacred or secret? Or could it because the meaning of the stories have just been lost over the centuries? Just some thinking today.

My Prediction of the End of the United States
Emmanuel Goldstein replied to a topic in Current Events
This is the key I think. September 1995 the church released the proclamation on the family, within 20 years the idea of the traditional family was well and truly under attack. In 2000 the church released "The Living Christ." By 2020 we should see the idea of organized religion, especially Judaeo-Christian beliefs, under serious assault. I believe that we will see the corrupt government begin a restriction on the sharing and practice of certain, so called 'pushy' religions. In other words, the proselyting of religion that we are known for. A ban on religions that 'hurt feelings' by telling or rather making people feel guilty will seem prudent to the rest of the population. "Be nice" will become the watchword of those that would see our religion, and others that stick to true moral principles, destroyed. I know this is a very badly worded response, but I am on the way to work and need to go. Cheers all. Remember to keep doing the Come Follow Me manual in order to strengthen you for the days of trial ahead. -
Possible reasons why God does what He does

Sometimes it seems that most people want God to be the ultimate helicopter parent. -
He seems to jump right into the Muslim camp pretty deeply here. Sorry Liam, but Aslan is Jesus.

Where did you get that idea? âThe Prophet Joseph Smith declaredâand he never taught a more comforting doctrineâthat the eternal sealings of faithful parents and the divine promises made to them for valiant service in the Cause of Truth, would save not only themselves, but likewise their posterity. Though some of the sheep may wander, the eye of the Shepherd is upon them, and sooner or later they will feel the tentacles of Divine Providence reaching out after them and drawing them back to the fold. Either in this life or the life to come, they will return. They will have to pay their debt to justice; they will suffer for their sins; and may tread a thorny path; but if it leads them at last, like the penitent Prodigal, to a loving and forgiving fatherâs heart and home, the painful experience will not have been in vain. Pray for your careless and disobedient children; hold on to them with your faith. Hope on, trust on, till you see the salvation of Godâ (Orson F. Whitney, in Conference Report, Apr. 1929, 110

Baptism is only a requirement for those that are going to the celestial kingdom. Here is a good source for information about each Kingdom. https://www.lds.org/manual/doctrines-of-the-gospel-student-manual/33-kingdoms-of-glory-and-perdition?lang=eng

I remember an interview with Liam Neeson (voice of Aslan in the films) where he said Aslan could represent Mohamed or any other religious leader. My forehead still stings from the slap I gave it.

Wait, Bibleman is a Jedi? Sweet!

I find that the symbolism falls apart in the second movies though. Superman raised from the dead, is a psychotic weird lipped monster that needs to be stopped by the other heroes. Thor is a over confidant idiot that only wants to come back for his girlfriend.
