  1. Sad. The space shuttles were originally built as a spaceships they could use several times a year, correct? Were Columbia and Discovery (is that the other name? Sorry if I’m wrong) also built poorly?
  2. Thanks for the info guys. I’m the farthest thing from a physicist/engineer/math/science guy so no, I didn’t know the details. I do remember watching it live though. It’s one of my first memories of a major event.
  3. Multiply that by 500 when you are online. And by another 500 because the topic is abortion.
  4. Manson did a cover of that song and he managed to make a bad song worse!
  5. That’s a good one-but @mirkwood cries when he hears “The Flame” by Cheap Trick and that might be awkward. So no Cheap Trick.
  6. @mirkwood and I are going to make a bet over the football game coming up, but we can’t think of anything to wager. He already said no face tattoos (dude is such a buzzkill) and I said no bottles of whiskey (sorry bro). What should we wager? Any ideas?
  7. A country founded by prison inmates is now a beacon of freedom!
  8. Lol. Even as someone who is in the middle on the issue it always bothered me when pro choicers paint all pro lifers as willing to shoot up clinics. And, if I was pro life, I’d hate those who shoot up clinics more than pro choicers simply because they paint all of us as looneys.
  9. If anyone is into a state breaking from the union, Google “Free State Project/NH.” At least they are trying.
  10. That's one of the most repulsive things I’ve ever heard. Yes, it’s 100% evil. Horrific and…all I can say is may God forgive them. To be fair though, we can’t lump these psychopaths in with all pro choicers. That’s like saying all pro-lifers endorse shooting up abortion clinics.
  11. I’m not sure that NASA found the Challenger explosion that “fun” you sicko. 😉
  12. Correct, though we lost another one in the early 2000’s. I’m not even sure we still have a shuttle program?
  13. I think O-rings are the reason (or one of them) the Challenger exploded. I’m not sure-I could have misunderstood and physics/mechanical engineering are not really my thing.
  14. I actually agree, and that’s one of the reasons why I think the conspiracy theorists who claim that Covid vaccines and UPC codes are the “mark of the beast” are more amusing than outright dangerous.
  15. I think this might be the best description of what home schooling should be that I’ve ever read.
  16. Before I became LDS the only home schooler I knew had an absolutely horrific story of sexual abuse than I still cringe at. It spoiled my view of homeschoolers for years. Now, my views are much more nuanced-But I’m still uncomfortable with it. I feel that teaching is a skill that not everyone has.
  17. Check your FB messages.
  18. We agree on that 100%. These times are a walk in the park compared to what will come.
  19. Oh, agree fully. Like you (I assume, correct me if I’m wrong) I think it’ll happen as well. There will be a time when Christians without the mark have to go underground and will be persecuted.
  20. I think the mark will be literal-though I’m sympathetic to those who think it’s symbolic. My issue is that this is the same as the boy who cried wolf. Christians (and I’m one of them) have said that many, many things are “the mark of the beast” so I take their thoughts on this with a massive grain of salt.
  21. Sorry @Just_A_Guy, I’m not into the Titanic. Seems more like a Boomer hobby.
  22. I got that once or twice but the moment I said I was a convert people stopped caring. It’s condescending and obnoxious of people to assume you did something wrong and couldn’t serve a mission, but that terrible attitude is their problem. Not yours. Still though, I’m sorry you had to deal with that. Try to remember that oh, 80% of LDS wouldn’t act the same way as these people did. 😞
  23. Lol. True!!! Lol!!!
