  1. Yeah, I don’t know why it sounds gross to people? It actually sounds quite good!
  2. That is such a cool idea.
  3. Actually, both pizzas sound fine my friend. And @mirkwood and I were talking Papa Murphy’s yesterday. Is that the place where you have to bake it yourself?
  4. Oh, agree totally. And having Covid or transmitting it to me or my employees will certainly affect their and my ability to work...so..... I do see this issue vastly differently, and that’s fine, agreeing on everything makes this place boring. I still don’t really get it though.
  5. Great choice! Does SLC have it’s own style of pizza?
  6. “So, how is your sex life, Elder Jones?” “What??? How dare you ask to take my temperature!!”
  7. Is taking your temperature at the door really that much of a problem? It seems like an odd hill to die on. I don't get it. I remember someone posting once that she didn't love being asked at church when she plans to have babies or get married, and those were considered fine questions to ask strangers (someone please find that thread I'm fairly sure it was here), but taking two seconds to see if someone has a fever is a gross violation of all that is holy and private? I’m not trying to be funny, I’m honestly confused.
  8. That’s awesome! Is Seattle known for pizza?
  9. My favorite is New York style loaded with mushrooms.
  10. Hahahahahahahahahahahah that’s awesome. Lol.
  11. Btw, thanks for the weed. 😉

  13. But, to be fair, I’ve been told I “live in fear” because I wear a mask and have gotten vaccinated. Which is odd, because even during 2020 my wife and I traveled across the country for a road trip, (hi @NeuroTypical!), went to Disney almost weekly, and out to dinner several times a week. Which, ironically, is far more than what those who tell me I live in fear did! So if that is “living in fear”, then I’m just really confused. I know you aren’t saying it to me personally @NeedleinA, but it’s what I’ve been told.
  14. Yeah, I see it differently. One good friend lost his father to it, and @LadyGators boss lost three people in her family to it. So it’s actually “quite scary”. No, I don’t think anyone who disagrees with me is Hitler, but @mirkwoods love of pre-Hagar Van Halen might make him Mussolini. Thank God (literally in my case, not blaspheming) that my family has all gotten the shot and survived this.
  15. I’ve thought about that a ton, actually. I’m not sure, to be honest. I do feel that just refusing the Covid shot is a mistake, but I agree, just saying no to it does not make you anti-vaxx. But, If you (generic) refuse to take any vaccine for anything, than you might not be anti-vaxx, I guess, but it’s like saying “I’m not easily offended, but here’s a list of things I’m offended by.” So, while refusing the Covid shot does not make you anti vaxx, every anti-vaxxer refuses the covid shot. The old saying “Not all potheads move on to crack, but almost all crack addicts started with pot” comes to mind. So I don’t have an answer.
  16. It’s sad that science literacy has gotten so bad that we have to bribe people to get a life saving vaccine. Did anti vaxxers exist during the Polio years?
  17. https://www.fox13news.com/news/number-of-daily-covid-19-vaccinations-double-in-ohio-after-state-announced-1m-lottery Motivation is a funny thing
  18. Is that the one you sent me?
  19. Oh, I understand fully my friend. I have been done with several relatives as well, and when they die, well, let’s just say I won’t be out there lighting candles and singing hymns with everyone else. But everyone, and every family is different. Regardless, I’m praying for you and your family. Sending love your way.
  20. It’s complicated. I’ve skipped the funeral of an uncle I barely knew and no one cared, but every family is different. No regrets on my part, but I’ve heard stories, heartbreaking ones, of people who skipped funerals and weddings and who regret it the rest of their lives. Same with those who barred relatives from attending funerals and weddings. Think very carefully @Backroads. You are still a young women, and you don't want to deal with regret your entire life
  21. Slightly off topic- Super Mario Brothers for the NES is the Daddy, folks. The rest just can’t compare.
  22. I cringe to think of divine justice, because in that case we are all doomed. Yes, I include myself, the kid, the old man, @NeuroTypical and you reading this. I pray for divine mercy.
  23. Immoral? Absolutely. Couldn’t agree more. Horrible, horrible horrible. A true tragedy. This is actually incredibly unpleasant to defend the kid. This is not about racial slurs or free speech. The awkward truth is that the old man apparently ASKED TO FIGHT and then took aggressive action. He opened his mouth (take away the slur) and backed it up by acting aggressively, thus forcing the kid to act in self defense. The old dude was causing problems and they must have been bad enough he was asked to leave. He left, then parked his car and returned and was asked to leave again, started throwing the racial slurs and stepped towards the young man challenging him to a fight and the young man punched him once in the jaw causing the old dude to fall backwards and strike his head on the pavement. The old man clearly planned the assault by yelling, refusing to leave, and then escalating the situation by stepping forward towards him. A reasonable man would conclude he was about to get assaulted. Yes, even a 77 year old can strangle someone. Yes, even a 77 year old can conceal a gun/knife, etc. Corey swung once, and once that situation was defused, he stopped the action. It’s different than having car trouble, yelling “I’d sell this thing for a dime!” And then refusing when I give you a dime two seconds later. They had time to “cool down”. Age does not mean you are not accountable for your words and actions, sadly. You know me @NeuroTypical. I’m really stupid, naive, immoral and evil incarnate (someone actually called me that. I liked it so much that I stole it as a nickname) . But, silly me, I still think words (and, cough cough, actions) have meaning. Regardless of age, if you ask someone to fight, you are, at least partially accountable for your black eye. Or, tragically, must worse.
  24. After my second shot I felt absolutely awful for 24 hours. Aches, fever. @Midwest LDS (shout out to my boy! Love you bro!) warned me about them and he was so right.
  25. My mom is a big fan so I know a lot of his songs (Joel).
