  1. All of us go through phases of activity...makes us all hope we are all on the up side when Christ comes.
  2. If I had waited to be stable before having a family, I still would not have one. :)
  3. Just remember this is how Satan wants you to feel. None of us can keep the commandments perfectly. We "all" get to much exercise running our selfs down. But that kind of exercise does not build "spiritual muscle". Lift up your head and rejoice, you are young and all life is before you...the strength to do what is right is found in our love for our God, not the fear of him.
  4. Cool...in NC there is a place called "Field of the Woods". Interesting place, kind of restoration movement Church that never really picked of steam.n
  5. My son lived there, worked in the building next to the old Temple...I like the new design. He now lives here in GA near me. Glad he is home...I miss not having a bi-yearly trip to Utah.
  6. Do the right thing, marry, rejoice and be happy. Listen to your Pa Pa.
  7. "Degrees of goodness"...this is the language they used? Come on.
  8. Nauvoo is something every Latter-day Saint should experience.
  9. I am retired military and police...not sure you want my take on it. :)
  10. Pa Pa

    Why?

Murder, stealing both life and family.
  11. My granddaughter Remy was thought to have downs due to tests, but they thought she would have some problem. When they asked if my daughter wanted an abortion...she got mad! Then Remy was born with cancer, a very rare skin cancer. At 6 months she had it removed and is now 5 and cancer free, and one of the greatest joys of Pa Pa's life as well as everyone else. It makes me wonder how many have died because parents did not have the faith and values to see them through to life.
  12. You are painting with a broad brush about what it means to be a man. I follow only a couple of teams in sports, own many guns but don't hunt...to old to play football, I played basketball. I did hunt small game when a teenager, but never since. My guns are because I am a collector.
  13. Old Institute books are good, lesson books the same. D/C 120-122, some of the most wonderful scripture written under the most difficult time of Joseph's short life!
  14. Your comment about someone looking down their noise...in my experience those who do this run into objects that can be painful. Sort of like texting and walking.
  15. My advice go to your Bishop and ask him...what can I do that does not require me to teach or speak in Church? He has many things he would need help with.
  16. I understand, I have been a member for 36 years. I am a cultural Baptist, but a doctrinal Mormon. Three months ago I buried my mother. She was 81. I spoke at her funeral, the pulpit in which I had began we sang hymns that I remembered with great fondness, and it was like being young again. To love your new faith does not mean you must hate your old faith. :)
  17. Welcome, I am back from a long absence. I am the same person on all sites "Pa Pa", which is my greatest joy, now up to eight grandbabies. :)
  18. Tell him the problem so he can help you map out a way to find your way to full repentance. Also he can get counseling for you. If you don't do this it will only get worse until one day you will lose your soul.
  19. If the father will not let his son go to Church, he is sinning and runs the risk of having his son rebel. Not to mention his Father is being a control freak.
  20. Then witness up close instead of from afar. We would love to have you attend...come on in the water is warm. :)
  21. I have experienced this and I too struggled while in the Bishopric, but as Christ said...If you want to save your life, loose it in the services of others. It is great you are doing so many good things that the Church admonishes us to do, but remember we cannot serve without the aid of Christ and the Holy Ghost and constraint prayer unto, our Father in heaven. Also get help for LDS services or a professional in the field of such problems and don't be afraid to take meds that may help. I will pray for you as,well.
