  1. Once they are divorced and she remarries, none of Mary and Sam's are John's and one ex'ed he loses all Temple covenants, although re-baptized Mary's son never was his, but hers. No matter what men might think, if wrong...God will make right. Also I have a close friend who was married in the Temple they divorced and when he met someone new they were married in the Temple without sealing canceling. Anyway....if John was ex'ed he may have Temple covenants restored (after a long wait), but he would not have his marriage restored.
  2. There is time to get around. Up until 18, I had only been to a few States. Then when I joined the Army, I flew on medivac helicopter and of course fixed wing where the Gov't wanted me for the eight years served. The travel in the U.S. was vacations and delivering 2 of my kids to the MTC, we drove both times. What you say about home is true. No matter where I have been traveling, no matter how wonderful the sites and sounds...there is indeed NO PLACE LIKE HOME. :) Heard a great line from the movie, "Terms of Endearment", Shirley McClain is speaking to Jack the Astronaut both discussing life...she then says, "but you have walked on the moon", to which he replies "and you have walked on the Earth, it is a much nicer place". The point of the story is; "There is no place like home"...tap heels three times. :)
  3. Samaria's were Israelites as well. They were wayward and intermarried, but still of Israel.
  4. I am sure that "love at first site" always happens with the arrival of children...an most certainly grandchildren. :) I think that relationships like your "love at first site" are the most stable. I have this romantic notion that when this happens, it is the Spirit recognizing something that started before this life here on earth. So...good for you.
  5. That it is up to the courts (too paraphrase).
  6. Countries... USA England France West Germany (at the time when I was there) East Germany (same as above) Holland Austria Switzerland Mexico Honduras Grand Cayman Islands Belize Canada States... Georgia South Carolina North Carolina Virginia Delaware Pennsylvania Washington D.C. Washington State Ohio Kentucky Tennessee Indiana Illinois Florida Alabama Mississippi Louisiana Arkansas Oklahoma Texas New Mexico Arizona Utah Colorado Wyoming Nebraska Iowa Alaska Temples...visited Atlanta Alabama Washing D.C. Swiss (sealed to my wife here) London Vernal Bountiful Salt Lack City Orlando Ogden Provo Here is my list...how about yours? If I think of new destination I will edit. So far the list makes me feel old and tired...:)
  7. Met my wife at the skating rink that I worked at...3 days ago we celebrated our 39th anniversary. We celebrated by going on a cruise.
  8. I lived in Bad Hersfeld (then) W Germany for four years. Are you German or Military?
  9. No...he could not unless the Father tells him. But what I believe is that the Father will tell him when it is time, but that time is based on when the world has ripened in sin long enough. In short, I do not think there is a set time, but rather a point where Christ can no longer tarry.
  10. There is a lot of "I's" and "me's" in your post. Marriage is the art of compromise, newly-weds do only two things...make love and make war. Till death do Ye part, or eternity. What you are posting, it sounds like most any marriage starting out.
  11. Disciplinary courts are for those who would want to repent and reconcile. Joining another Church, only leads to name being removed from the roles.
  12. When my grandmother (bio-grandmother), my bio-dad (still with my mom at the time) insisted that I see her "lifeless body". That is the only thing that I remember about him at all. I was traumatized and could not look at a dead body until I was 15, when my grandmother (Mama's side) and the fear I would never see her again cured me from that fear. Young Children or any child needs to do so when it is right within themselves.
  13. Out is despair comes the deepest of questions, the greatest longing for answers and the most fervent prayers. It was out of despair that Joseph called out unto God, recording both his "prayer of despair" and the answer D&C 121 and 122, which has inspired millions of lives everywhere. These scripture gave us the words etched in marble walls at Liberty Jail, teaching us how to love, show love, use the Priesthood to bless our families and for many a way out of despair. Some of my most meaningful poems have come out of my greatest sufferings and so it is throughout, with many Prophets. The most beautiful scripture is found in Psalms brought forth through David's suffering...noting much of that was self inflicted.
  14. The Bishop is a (the) common Judge in Israel, so I guess he has his reasons. Has he not told you why? Either way this is something better dealt with your Bishop and Stake Presidency, not on the Internet. You call though if you wish to continue it.
  15. I just arrived in Atlanta...:) at 3:42AM Tired going home catch up tomorrow.
  16. We once got stuck in Chicago with three of ours...United employees were talking strike. We got to Atlanta at 11:30PM and the strike began at 12:00...never felt so lucky.
  17. I am currently in my 15th hour in an airport. The wife and I went on our first cruise and got back into country at 5:00AM. Now we just need a two hour flight back to Atlanta (would be a 14 hour drive...so we would be home in bed now). As it stands right now our flight might depart between 1:00 to 2:00AM. Now the worry is rental car facility will be closed and our son who was to pick us up has early classes in the morning...sooooooooooo for kicks and giggles; what is your horror story? :)
  18. Pa Pa

    I confess

Sounds like you are talk about me with 2 and 3. :) Confession is good for the soul..."go thy way and sin no more" :)
  19. I just announce it "ice cream". :)
  20. Sorry for the error when I spelled men, instead of mean. But if it is alright, I will submit the ones not published. You know two of my poems where copied instead of buying them and hung in Social Services...and another remained in the Atlanta Temple Presidency's office for years before the Temple was remodeled...and may still be there. One poem is in cemetery's all over North Georgia...one I wrote for my grandmother. You are right about one thing...I give my away now, not because they will not sale, but because I feel it is a gift of God and now I give them away.
  21. What I men is that you are telling people, if they have poems that rhyme, it is all ready bad so don't posting, because it will be woeful. My poems sold well in a number of LDS Bookstore...or do the people who bought it, lack class and education. I am just trying to figure out if you are trying to impose your taste on everyone else...help me out. Most of my posts or threads, you tell me you have no idea what I am talking about. Really?
  22. Do you have the same low opinion if poetry that rhymes and is good, or are you trying to poison the will for those who write this way. Not trying to be combative, just wondering what this thread is trying to accomplish? Good you expand or just don't like modern poets? God bless...
  23. I agree, I think the Internet in many ways keeps many from digging deep. Everyone what's a quick "instant gratification" type of answer. Not to mention most Internet searches are alway accompanied with anti-Mormon answers that reinforce their information, which makes a simply slop more akin to a "slip in slid" water toy. :)
