This song is praising God, for giving us Joseph to restore the gospel...it is all about praise to God. Heck, if Peter, or Paul came back and restored the gospel we would sing about it. Also remember that W.W. Phelps, a close friend of Joseph wrote this song, because he betrayed Joseph and was let back into the fold by him. Both men loved each other deeply...this is why Joseph was so hurt by Phelps actions and Phelps was so beholding to Joseph, and why he wrote this song.

Return to Germany, while stationed there it was a divided county and I did not get to see beyond the broader (except through scopes and binoculars). So I would like to see what was East Germany.

Our bodies come forth in perfection...sadly as I have gotten older, I wonder about those whose DNA, has ceased to exist, such as in 9/ 11, and others. All I can do now is have faith that a merciful God knows how he will bring this to pass. In this life all will never be known, but in the next all will be revealed. :)

He gave it no one took it, they just provided a public venue for him to do so...and later take his life again.

Not sure Joseph or anyone else would want us to never question. God calls flawed men, because nothing else is available.

The fear you feel is part of what Satan makes us fill (well motivates) so that we feel that we will never be free of the temptation again...or so that we just give up and no longer try. If this is a very serious sin, have you spoken with Church Leaders?

It is difficult, I know. It can mess with your self-esteem. Sometimes you wonder who are the angels and who are not. Those who adopt (and do so for the right reasons)...are those who will reap the rewards of the added family and blessings and whom God will call, "mine good and faithful servant". So as one who knows the blessings and the heartaches and all of the unanswered questions, I will ask that our Father-in-Heaven and he who becomes so by adoption (See Mosiah 5: 7)...because I know the questions that all in yours and my position would want to know. God Bless You. :) You and I were lucky to have come into the lives of our parents so young that all we know is their love and little of rejection. Sunday night my daughter, who was "born of my heart" was talking about a friend who is seeking adoption. My 8 year old granddaughter was getting confused, and went over and whispered into her Mother's ear a question that I knew the answer to already. I told her; "sweetie, I chose your mother to be my child and in so doing gave my life purpose and gave me you as well". It was difficult for any in the room to hold back the tears of joy.

I grew for the fist years of my life with a different last name. When my mother found out that he had married another woman and fathered a child, she started moving toward divorce. By the time I was 5, I had a new father and a new last name...along with my sister and brother. As a result of his actions we found ourselves evicted as he took all the money in their accounts to flee to Texas, as what he did was a crime. There were times I wanted to know what he looked like or what his personality was like. I never did so because I had a wonderful father who adopted my brother and sister. I found that when my bio-father died that my sister had gone to introduce herself again to him...as her little brother I went to help her get through the funeral. When I met my wife she had a baby girl and her bio-father (my daughter's), because of the great man who made me his own, it a simple thing for me to adopt my oldest daughter. So I approach this as someone who knows what it means to be adopted and as one who did "adopt" my oldest. She is now 40 and has given her mother and I 5 beautiful grandchildren. I can tell you that if my daughter tried to contact her bio-father without telling, it would a serious betrayal! Also, I still knew where to find my Pa Pa Nation, and could have found him, but again did not feel the need to do this. Later in life I met my half-sister and brother, but it was not like having family. Sometimes it is good to do it just to get the romance (mystery) out of the entire event. So precede with prayer and caution, you above all are the one that could be hurt. But above remember this...trust your parents and seek out their advice. Hope this helps... We are fallen...evil, some are, but being human does make us evil necessary, but we do all struggle with sin. But thankfully we can repent. Also one of our leaders taught that every time we partake worthily of the sacrament we are as clean as we were at our baptism. Praise our God for that!

Facing divorce. Give in and give up or push forward?

It sounds as if the problem is depression, if alone he will just sink further into it. It also sounds like he is a bit like myself, introverted, I compensated by marrying the love of my life and extrovert. Introverts do like their quiet alone time, it how they recharge the batteries. Extroverts, charge theirs by being around others. It is a delicate dance (if you will) but all marriage is...he needs to treat the underlying cause of his depression instead of looking for excuses as to why he is depressed. I have been married for 39 years, four children and seven grandchildren and it is exhausting...and WONDERFUL! He may not know it now, but without it he will lose even more, testimony, love, purpose and direction. God bless you sister, hope all works out. -
Your family first...the family that is you, your wife and children. Then if you can help; great!

The purpose of missionaries is to get people the message of the Church, and a proving ground for future leaders of the Church.

Does that mean sub-titles...I hate sub-titles.

You are correct, we often then other countries will have similar ideas of right and wrong. But that has never been the same with maybe the exception of the civil war, only because we were the same people. Even then we ripped this country apart. My great grandfather, 3 times removed fought with Lee and was with his at Appromaddox. Now we have an enemy who wishes to enslaves others. They are still killing Americians, kidnapping and selling girls, driving Christians out of their homes and killing them...unspeakable evils. Trust me know one hates war that those who wage it, and I pray we do not have to wage it again. But alas, I fear that it is the natural state of man until Christ comes. Bill Lee Atlanta, GA

We are (the U.S. Military) is still in Germany, Japan. I am not saying we should have gone to IRAQ, but one there we should have won first and then insured the peace. Now we are announcing to the Afgans when we are leaving. BTW, in the Middle East it is the coustom to destroy your enemy as they retreat and to kill them forever when possible. This is why we created the ISIS, and why we will one day be fighting them here. I would suggest that no one be in large Malls or large gathering this Thursday. Be in prayer for all Americans abroad.

We should always be tired of war, but it is made worse when we not allowed to win. I entered in Army during a time when the goal of the Army was to win, or we were at the end of the days when allowed to win. ISIS, is because we failed to close the deal. Now we will have to fight the same war because they will attack us again. I think this time they should call back we retired military who are at the end of our lives and let us go out with a bang. To keep my grandchildren from doing it, it would be an easy sacrifice.

Matt, are you an American stationed there? I have known many missionaries and servicemen who have lived and served in Japan.

This seems an odd statement since no one can enter the Christian Faith without prayer??
