pam Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 The whole dance thing while writing on the scroll was amazing too. Truly amazing dancers. I sure hope I can get this on dvd when all said and done. I would love to see it all again. It really was one of the most amazing shows I have ever seen or probably will ever see. Quote
MorningStar Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Gymnastics, maybe some diving, and of course, synchronized swimming. Quote

Palerider Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Don't forget to watch Sidewalk sweeping....I hear the Russians could dominate this sport and the US might be contend for medal....:D Quote
Misshalfway Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 I am feeling sad for the the Hamm brothers! Another one bites the dust! But looks like Sasha (replacement) is doing pretty good on the pommel horse. Quote
pam Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 I love looking at names from other countries. I saw this one today. Prapawadee Jaroenrattanatarakoon, Thailand. Won a gold medal for Thailand. Quote
Misshalfway Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Don't forget rowing! I love rowing! Quote
Over43 Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 I have been noticing the female swimmers are built like the male swimmers. I remember Mark Spitz, these ladies are no Mark Spitz. Quote
pam Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 I'm glad to see that the men's swimming attire has changed. Not the speedos of in the past. Quote
Over43 Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 I'm glad to see that the men's swimming attire has changed. Not the speedos of in the past.I have a Speedo. Just "trunks" though, not the whatever those things are called that they wear on the beach in France. But it's always fun to say, "sure, I'll bring my Speedo!"O43 Quote
pam Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 What an amazing finish in the men's relay in swimming. Quote
vegasbay Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 There's only one where it's all at EVENTING BABY!!!! If you don't know what it is, google it. Just stay away from Laine Ashker. Quote
pam Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 There's only one where it's all at EVENTING BABY!!!!If you don't know what it is, google it. Just stay away from Laine Ashker. I always seen to miss eventing. I don't think they really show those during their coverage. Which is a shame. It's really fun to watch. Quote
BenRaines Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Go to nbcolympics.com and you can watch over 2,000 hours of Olympic coverage. Most not seen on tv. Ben Raines Quote
pam Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Does it have the opening ceremony? I really would like to see parts of that again. Quote
MorningStar Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Hahaha. You know I used to have a huge crush on Mary Lou. That tells you how old I am I suppose. I used to imitate Mary Lou. (Back in my gymnastics days) Quote
WANDERER Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Ugh *bites fingernails*I can hardly bear to watch.......swimming is not what it used to be. Still, a couple of good results. Quote
MarginOfError Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 I used to love watching the women's gymnastics. Then I turned 18 and felt like a pedophile. Now, I've graduated to beach volleyball. What a great sport! Men's basketball sure looked good. And the US soccer team managed a tie. And holy crap men's 4x100 Freestyle. I'm still in shock. Quote
Truegrits Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 And holy crap men's 4x100 Freestyle. I'm still in shock. That would probably sum up how the French swimmers felt... Quote
Palerider Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 That would probably sum up how the French swimmers felt... Ditto to that.....its always easy to talk the talk.....but then you have to walk the walk.... Quote
MarginOfError Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 And it just always feels so good to stick it to the French. :-) Quote
Misshalfway Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Ditto to that.....its always easy to talk the talk.....but then you have to walk the walk....or swim the swim, as the case may be. Quote
vegasbay Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 I always seen to miss eventing. I don't think they really show those during their coverage. Which is a shame. It's really fun to watch. It's even more fun to ride it :) Yeah they never have given it very good coverage, but I hear you can watch all of it on their website. They already did Cross Country, so Stadium Jumping is probably today or tomorrow, I hope they show that. Quote
pam Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 That would probably sum up how the French swimmers felt... Like the Aretha Franklin song "Who's zoomin who?" It's now "Who's smashing who?" Quote
