Heather Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Clip from Michael Medved's show and set to video. This one is really, really good. You'll fall out of your chair, and once you pick yourself up, you'll fall out of it again.Help promote this video. Digg it here: Digg - Mormon Conspiracy - The REAL Mormon Conspiracy Quote
beefche Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 How do I make a claim for a bruised bottom from falling out of my chair twice? I need compensation....wait, maybe I'll just wait for the Mormons to take over the government and get some kickback. Quote
Lbybug Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 i didn't really fall out of my chair laughing for that. i thought it was a great message and he handled that question, as a non-mormon, very well. sure the guy asking the question was a riot...i mean...really??? but in the end, the answer the host (i've never heard of him before) gave was wonderful. Heather Posted August 16, 2008 Author Report Posted August 16, 2008 The falling out of the chair bit is from shock. First at the whole conspiracy idea, and then how a Jewish radio host is the one to set him straight. Quote
pam Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 I love the remark..."It doesn't sound odd...it just sounds slanderous and untrue." Quote
debi56 Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 I love this kind of stuff, it does my heart good when a non-LDS person has nothing but good things to say about the church. That was great. Quote
prisonchaplain Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Michael Medved is a well known Seattle-area media critic, with a daily show that is syndicated. He's an Orthodox Jew who makes nice with evangelicals, with LDS, and with people of traditional values, morality, and common sense politics. Did I mention he's based in Seattle? Oh yeah, up at the beginning I mention that Seattle connection...something in the air, here in Seattle...I don't know...DISCLAIMER: ANY SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES ABOUT THE GLORIES OF SEATTLE AND SEATTLITES THAT MAY BE FOUND IN THIS POST ARE PURELY INTENTIONAL, AND SHOULD BE ENJOYED AND LEARNED FROM. Tamrajh Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 I found it to be quite entertaining. Makes me wonder if the "ex-Mormon" had been excommunicated and was still reeling from the sting of that thus he had come up with the explanation of our conspiracy to take over the government. Or he was just on drugs/insane/an idiot. Makes me proud to be a Utahn... Quote

MorningStar Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 I don't believe that caller was really an ex-Mormon, but a never Mormon who thinks his conspiracy will sound more believable if he were Mormon before. The whole "Mormons want to take over the government" nonsense is one of Ed Decker's stupid lies, who is an actual ex-Mormon, but I know he doesn't actually believe that. But there are gullible people who believe him. Quote
Heather Posted August 17, 2008 Author Report Posted August 17, 2008 I would be more surprised if he wasn't an exmormon. Sounds like he got jaded by something and has a bone to pick for some reason. Quote
prisonchaplain Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 PrisonChaplain: I am across the water from you....... We are neighbors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Oh...you're on the rich side of the pond. LOL I rest my case, concerning the wonders of our niche in the world. Quote
Maya Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 I have promoted teh video around... love it! Quote
Bookmeister Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Does this mean that I have to give back the parts of the government I've already taken over? Quote
debi56 Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Well I don't know if it is the rich side, you must be talking about Vashon or Bainbridge Island. LOL no, I am in the armpit of Washington State, Bremerton. Quote
