Palerider Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Anytime you beat Boston or any other top teams in their house.....that says alot...... Quote
Dr T Posted February 12, 2009 Author Report Posted February 12, 2009 That's right Pale. We handed the Cav's their first (and only) home loss this season. I will say that we've taken care of all the West coast teams this year too! Quote
Palerider Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 and if you check the standings you will see that the Lakers have the best road record.... Quote
Dr T Posted February 12, 2009 Author Report Posted February 12, 2009 We lost 109 - 113 to Utah today Bummer. Quote
Palerider Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 every now and then....its ok if the other team wins.....:) Quote
Dr T Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 NBA Power RankingsJohn Galinsky, FOXSports.com Posted: 4 days agoLast week was as good as it gets in the NBA. Kobe and LeBron going nuts at the Garden. Lakers-Celtics. Lakers-Cavaliers. Spurs-Celtics. By the time it was over, the fans at MSG were left catching their breath, the champs looked vulnerable again and the Lakers established themselves as the league's top team by completing season sweeps of the other two NBA superpowers. (The Magic fall out of that category with Jameer Nelson's injury.) Records are through games of Monday, Feb. 9 Quote
Dr T Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 (41-9) Last Week: Beat the Raptors (115-107), Celtics (110-109) and Cavaliers (101-91).The wins in Boston and Cleveland were especially impressive for two reasons. They came on the end of a six-game road trip, when teams are usually tired. And Kobe didn't have to play great in either game. Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom, the softies in last year's Finals, made the difference by outplaying the big men for the Celtics and Cavs. Quote
Dr T Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 Tomorrow, Wed. and Friday. We start with the Haks, Warriors and then N.O. Quote
Palerider Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 watch the trading deadline.....:) Quote
Dr T Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 Kobe Bryant tallied 27-points and four assists in route to being named co-MVP as the Western Conference All-Stars defeated the East 146-119. Pau Gasol added 14-points. Quote
Palerider Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 they need to trade for Shaq.....:D Quote
ninjormon Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 I say go for it he hasnt added much to the suns but now that they are in the runand gun system since firing theyre coach I think he might be more of an asset Quote
Dr T Posted February 18, 2009 Author Report Posted February 18, 2009 Dwight Howard did u say? hmmmm... I'd considere it (maybe) hahaha Quote
Dr T Posted February 18, 2009 Author Report Posted February 18, 2009 I'm thinking "team is gelin nicely right now don't mess that up" Quote
ninjormon Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Yeah Id give Gasol and Bynum for Howard, or in the suns case shaq and amare, but not duncan Quote
Dr T Posted February 18, 2009 Author Report Posted February 18, 2009 Gasol I'd selfishly want to keep by I think Bynum is damaged goods. Quote
Palerider Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 It wouldn't hurt the lakers to get one guy to come off the bench that could contribute in some kind of way. Quote
Dr T Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 That's true so I'll call the team today and let them know that it's ok to consider getting rid of Bynum Quote
