Guest ceeboo Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 Hi Pam, Are you implying that a United States of America political leader is NOT doing something he/she said they were going to. You must be mistaken. Quote

StallionMcBeastly Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 lol. Unlike everyone else here in California, I still can't completely convince myself that he's not going to be the typical "say one thing do another" politician. Quote

john doe Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 From what I've read lately, the honeymoon with the media is ending quickly. CBS is complaining that ABC was given an exclusive interview and none is on the horizon for CBS. CBS is claiming that the reason ABC got the interview is because they threw a huge inauguration party. Plus, the media is upset that no photographers were allowed to shoot the fumbled oath redo, some outlets have declined to distribute the pics from the official photographer. And then Obama's press clown accidentally outed 2 'unnamed senior admin officials' who had done some off-the-record briefing earlier that day. Quote

LittleWyvern Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 (edited) From what I've read, this is more of a compromise than a broken promise, but this is still suspicious. Edited January 24, 2009 by LittleWyvern Quote
Maxel Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Interesting. Thank you for the links, Pam and LittleWyvern. It boils down to if Mr. Lynn really is the best candidate for Deputy Secretary of Defense. From the articles LittleWyvern posted:The executive order Obama signed includes a waiver clause. The executive order says a waiver may be granted if "the literal application of the restriction is inconsistent with the purposes of the restriction"...Hopefully, this is a sheer coincidence and there won't be too many waivers like this. trulykiwi Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 You know, I can't help but wonder if the world had the wool pulled over their eyes with this gone election. Being an outsider, it seems to me you had a forced election by the very people who want socialism to reign one day, and we all know socialism is the same as communism. And we all know that means a world government will be forced upon us. Gee wizz this sounds like prophecy unfolding! I can see it, can't you? I mean it's a well known fact that Obama is a marxist, seems to me like they have put the right person in the job to bankrupt the nation as denoted in the old testament would happen. Scary isn't it? LittleWyvern Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 If you think Obama is socialist/marxist, look at some European countries. They're not entirely socialist, but they're more socialist than Obama could ever be. Quote
trulykiwi Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Yeah I agree, so what!!! It's still the same Devil controlling it all. How else would the prophecied beast come to fore? It's still the same orchestra playing. I mean it's not that hard to see, and it's not that big of deal, as this is obviously what has to happen to usher in the millenium. I can't wait! Quote

lilered Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 I am shocked by the comments about Obama and the unrealistic expectatios of him after only a few short day. I would rather spend my time checking my mailbox for my government bail out check. Sure hope it comes soon. Quote
Moksha Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 The question is, will William Lynn be working on any specific issues he lobbied for Raytheon or not? Either way this looks bad in that it smacks of the Republican tradition of letting the lobbyists themselves write the public guidelines for their industry, or letting former business associates, who became P and VP, throw billions of dollars of contracts to their former businesses (of which they still held interest in a blind trust).
