It occurred to me that I may not pay close enough attention to satin and I should. But maybe not. Were told not too I guess. Spending to much time thinking about him is unwise.

Question: When I sin how much tempting from satin was evolved? Have you ever been in the temple (where Lucifer is not allowed to go) and had a bad thought come to your mind? Have you been startled by it? I have. So back to the question, how much tempting from satin is evolved in daily sins? Do we just choose to do wrong without any temping? If so how much of the time I wonder?

Also a thought: The more righteous and obedient we become the more we become devils in lucifers eyes. Disrupting his plan and being an adversary unto him. Weird way to look at it I guess.

Your problem is your looking out for Satin ( a great material) in stead of SatAn, (the father of lies):D;) (couldn't resist)

On the topic I think it depends on your view of God. If you think all good comes from God and pulling over to help the stranded driver on the road was from God then it stands to reason giving the finger to the driver who cut you off 5 minutes earlier would be from Satan.

Bad does not equal Satin. Many would say Satin is good, I...

I can't keep up this joke. Satin is a material used for many things, but clothes are a big one. Satan, that is... With -2- As, is Evil incarnate.

Satan is who you're talking about, not Satin.

The problem with the school of thought that Satan plays a big role in all our temptations is that you eventually have to ask yourself, “who tempted Satan?” I’m of the school of thought that we’re plenty capable of tempting ourselves. Personally, I think we should take credit for our own sins and temptations because 1) it’s the responsible thing to do, and 2) Satan is an attention whore, so it would drives him nuts when we don’t give him credit for things.

As for being in the temple and having bad thoughts—reminds me of a story. I was officiating an endowment session and had started to doze off. Now, there’s a certain phase of the sleep cycle in which men experience an increase in blood flow through a personal part of the body which can then result in a certain protrusion that defies discretion. Fortunately, I was able to get the situation under control before I had to stand up again, but the potential for embarrassment was terrifying.

Oh man MarginOfError that would of been horrifying!! Once I was in an endowment session and the officiator in the front had his fly all the way down and was wide open!! Through the whole session too!!!! I was way in the back but I guess I should of still walked up and told him. Now else dared to do it, not even the other patron or witness.

I believe many have missed the understanding that mankind lives in a fallen state and as such the natural man is very much in subjection to Satan. As far as temptation – I have no doubts that we are pushed to our very limits.

I am also very certain that the only way out of this mess is by the redemption of the atonement of Christ.

The redemption after all we can do of course. :) Yes I need to put some thought into the fallen man. That explains why we have thoughts or what not on our own accord. Though we are pushed to the limits!!!
