Connie Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I was sent a blog on this. Is this true or complete hogwash? Quote
prisonchaplain Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 My first, second and third guesses were that this is bogus. A quick search will find several blogs repeating the story...but snopes.com: Judge Carter Orders Obama to Prove Eligibility SNOPES says it's false and bogus. Quote
Charlyc Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 (edited) I was sent a blog on this. Is this true or complete hogwash? For GOP voters, well... its probably true there Edited November 10, 2009 by prisonchaplain format Quote
prisonchaplain Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Calyc...cheap shot. Did you consider that the corrective post #2 might have been from a GOP voter? Quote
applepansy Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 (edited) With help from friends I found the following:AARP Online Community: Politics - Current Events - Fed. Judge Carter sets Trial Date for Obama's Eligibilityand:http://www.politico.com/pdf/PPM145_birtherrlg.pdfThe dates say a lot. The AARP article was done in September. The dismissal happened 10/29/09. jadams_4040 Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I was sent a blog on this. Is this true or complete hogwash? well i,d say its complete hogwash; being as we have an official birth certificate; and also a newspaper article in the archives from hawaii anouncing his birth.:) Quote
Just_A_Guy Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Bah. When were newspapers ever right? Quote
Moksha Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Snopes was working with faulty information. It was Judge Crater, not Carter, that set the trial date. Here is a link for those who cannot remember back as far as Pam. Joseph Force Crater - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Quote

HEthePrimate Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 It's hard to believe people are still pushing that theory! *sigh*DH Quote
FunkyTown Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Meh. We can't tar all conservatives with the same brush. Orly Taitz doesn't represent all Conservates. In fact, given that she asked for support for her motion as per:Orly Taitz Lawsuit Thrown Out By California Judgeand only 40-100 people contacted the Judge, I think it's safe to say that only the craziest of the crazy still believe this theory. There are enough real reasons to disagree with Obama, now, for the average rabid conservative. They don't need made-up reasons any longer, so most are content to use those. Quote
