I have never given someone a Christmas themed gift because Christmas comes and goes. Which means that snowman tie will probably go back into the wardrobe, never to be worn again, until next holiday season. Buuut.. having said that, I'm really wanting to get my dad "Ring Christmas Bells" by the Tabernacle Choir as a gift. I reviewed the song list and they're not all Christmas despite the CD title..

What do you think?

Personally, if it is a cd that I like and has songs that I really enjoy, doesn't matter to me if it is Christmas or not. I still listen to it.

Sure, why not? Have it be the first gift he opens, and then he can play it the rest of the morning.

My birthday is right around Thanksgiving, and my husband often gets me a Christmas CD or two (at the end of the season the year before) for my birthday. It's perfect.

Alright, thanks :]

I decided to just go ahead and order it. He really enjoys listening to the Tabernacle Choir so I'm having no doubts about him liking this.

I agree with this, Christmas music is fine all year round. My family busts out McClean's Forgotten Christmas Carols every once and a while regardless of season.

CD's are not tacky. Apparel will always be tacky unless you are giving those Grinch covered ankle socks to a six year old.

When I was dating my husband, my MIL gave me a Christmas pillow that said, "Be Good." There is nothing like a Christmas gift and a sermon all in one! It really brought the two of us closer together.

Well stick me with a pin and call me tacky then! I loved my pair of Christmas Elmo socks. I wore them all the time, just at home during most of the year, but occasionally in public during the Christmas season. So if anyone wants to get me a pair of Grinch socks for Christmas, i'll PM you my address. I also got an awesome plaque a couple years ago that says Wise Men Still Seek Him. I keep it up all year next to a picture of the Savior.
