The biggest irony in this situation is that the final monologue in that episode was completely bleeped out, and apparently it was about not allowing ourselves to become victims of intimidation and fear. Personally, I was very glad to see Jon Stewart stand up for Parker and Stone. I hope they make it out of this controversy unscathed.

who watches that crap south park.......

I do.

I also find it ironic that people post what amount to thinly veiled death threats seek the free-speech protections afforded to them under the first amendment while they simultaneously attempt to deny others that same right through violent means.

There's a word for that....oh yeah...hypocrisy

I really try to avoid it... but their "Make love not warcraft" episode was hilarious, and actually rather clean in language beyond a couple epithets.

But definitely not a series to watch, especially if you don't want bad language in your house.

I really don't like it when they make fun of Jesus, but otherwise I do find South Park quite funny. It's rather a guilty pleasure though!

We abide by the laws of the land concerning the FREEDOM OF SPEECH. As we should not allow our selves to watch such programs or give them the opportunity of renewal by subscribing to such.

Now, receiving such threats is not a true Muslim and does not follow the Koran. After reading this book twice, there is no clear cut evidence they can stand on to carry out this act in the name of god. They are know more than a murderer and far worse off them they who offend a prophet. If they decided to act on their so-called threats, they will face that ultimate punishment hereafter.

If people are that offended by South Park, or anything else done by the creators such as that musical on Broadway, they don't have to see it. Those who threaten freedom of speech through threats of violence aren't true followers of their particular religion. People who fly planes or drive rental trucks full of explosives into buildings are evil, and being led by Satan, not their religion at all. That's true for those who murder innocent doctors because of what those doctors do for a living.

Intolerance is ugly regardless of the person/group weilding it.

God has given us the power to act for ourselves, independant of what others may think, or feel about our choices.

The result of this gift is that people will always be doing things we personally don't like. Using one's freedom of expression in an effort to limit or control someone else's freedom of expression is not only blatantly hypocritical, it reflects an attitude of selfishness or arrogance....that others don't deserve what you posess.

Unfortunately, until more people stand up for right and justice in this world, the situation will not improve.
