I wouldn't blame the church they attend (which wasn't named). These people happened to know each other because of their church.

But yes, there are a bunch of crazy people... especially in Irvine. (I grew up there.) Not only are they crazy, but they have the MONEY to do crazy stuff.

That's why I was bashing the church. Seems like it may be a common place thing in the church, which to me, is sick.

i have seen a vomiting smiley and its not pretty. You really have to wonder what in the world people are thinking. Reminds me of the people that wrap people in blankets then smother the devil out of them. Maybe this is a variation?

I wasn't aware that either Heavenly Father or Satan do any sort of punishing. We're condemned and punished by our own guilt.

I hope that the 15-year-old wasn't left in the custody of the people who dropped him off at a 39-year-old mans house to be beat with a metal pole ...

Actually, Traveler was suggesting that the belief of traditional Christians that hell is a place of eternal torment for all who reject Jesus in this life could easily lead to harsh corporal punishment.
