Hey Lisajo,

I love the sun too. Where I live now, it get really cold! We are ending soccer season (for my kids) and I freeze at their cames. I liked SLC winter. It was not as cold as here.

Today I am in St. George UT (the desert too) and it is raining Cats and Dogs!!!! Good thing our area has a nice natural wash so that we don't float away like the flood here a few years back.

Here is central Alberta, its been cold. The past week's highs have been between 5 to 10C. They say tomorrow and Monday it may snow. I never look forward to winter, especially the first heavy snowfall; have to adjust in driving.

Where I am in Arizona it has been in the high 70's/ mid 80's during the day - and maybe into the mid 60's/low 70's at night. I miss the cold, I miss the wonderful and glorious colors of Autumn. I am starting to really hate the heat and sun.

We were in Calgary all week, it was nice sweater weather.

We returned yesterday to southern Manitoba and its turned cold.

We have a lot of out door work left to do so every thing out side is in for that packers to pack for moving day.

We visited with our builder and our house will not be ready till march now. So we are rented in Lethbridge Alberta until then.

At lest our temperament was warm when dealing with the builders.

It's cloudy right now and slightly cold. I like it here because right about when I get sick of the heat, it cools off; and right about when I get sick of the cold, it warms up.

Ive have always wondered how it would be to live in a place down on the equator except up in the mountains a bit. A place where the temperature would be a constant 70 degrees year round. That would be sweet.

Were I live if it is bright sun filled day in the winter it is most likely -40C

Winter in Canada has sounds of its own.

2 Examples are:

Snow squeeks when you step on it.

Your tires make a funny thumping noise when you drive because it is flat on one side from sitting over night.

They warm up wile driving and stop thumping after a wile.

It started raining here in Seattle yesterday. It's supposed to let up around, oh...May! From then through mid-June we get "sun breaks" (15 minute showings).

It's alright though--I'm heading off to Canada for vacation this coming weekend. Woot! Woot!

Lake Okanagan region, Shuswap, St. Ives (near Celiste). It's supposed to be remote, rustic, and very quiet. Should be great for our little family retreat.

I just got back from 3 days at the beach... in SC. It was beautiful, although a bit cooler than I'm used to. We still got in some outdoor swimming and playing in the sand on the beach.

It's kind of cold at my house though... like 55 or so.

I LOVE autumn though, so it's right up my alley. Sweaters, Halloween, Thanksgiving, oranges, red, yellows, jumping in leaf piles...

I'm kind of wierd about my weather preferences... I like snow, rain, cold weather! I also like sun, but detest heat. That's the only reason why I don't like the city I live in - HOT summers! I really hope we get some snow this year. We usually get a little each year, but last year we didn't get the first snowflake.

I love snow! Alaska, well, er, Anchorage does not have snow in the forecast and we haven't had any yet. Some thing is wrong with this picture. Can you say global warming or some thing?

If you lived in Alaska and could see the glaciers that are melting and at the alarming rate they are melting it might change your mind. Also for the first time ever in record a mosiquto ended up in Barrow this past summer. That is a scary sign. We have polar bears that are starving to death, seals that have moved to the southern parts of Alaska and glaciers that are basically becoming silty puddles. You can say it is cyclical, but at what rate are WE making it to go faster than it would.
